Dell XPS 13 2015, 1440p or 1080p panel?

Is it worth to go with the 1080p model for the sake of battery life? What is the battery life like for the 1440p model?

I've read that there is up to a 3-4 hour difference. If battery life is critical to you, id go with the 1080p.

Also depending on your budget, the new skylake versions will be available soon i believe.

You need to decide what is most important to you and go from there. I personally want skylake but not sure it'll be worth the premium. Looks luke the new version will be a bit more expensive according to what I have read

I think 1080p is the way to go. The higher resolution panel definitely takes a toll on the battery life from what reviews show.

Now that you get even more battery life with the skylake processors, maybe that 1440p is worth it? I dunno what your acceptable range of battery life is. I have the XPS 13 9343 with 1080p. It lasts me a good 8-10 hours on basic computing (80% web browsing 20% video playback).

I would go with the 1080 model. The UHD definition models will drain faster. I'm thinking of getting the new inspiron 7000 15 inch i7 model.

The XPS 13 doesn't have a 1440p screen, the high resolution option is 3200 x 1800.
