Wow... Intel® UHD Graphics 770 is quite the deal. You would want something better than that. Normally, for dell the proprietary power supply is underrated, as is the RAM, and case is crap with no air flow.

Price is too high for what you get. I’ve seen lower prices on XPS systems with decent video cards and 1 TB SSD on a regular basis. You need to wait for a hot deal or check out Dell outlet when they have a sale. Do a search for XPS on the slippery deal site. You’ll see a lot of pros and cons on this system and keep your eye out for a deal to be posted there.

You COULD do (slightly) better at Costco:

You get a second year warranty through Costco's concierge services. If things go bad, you have to ship it to their repair service...where, in my experience, they will wipe all your storage and break something else...
OR, you can buy an extended warranty through Costco...

I forgot to mention, that dell puts in the crappiest motherboards usually proprietary that fits their proprietary power supply, hope you don't want to overclock anything as dell bios are very limited at best. And if anything should go wrong with the MB after the warranty expires, good luck trying to find another board that will fit that case. You are basically buying the CPU, and dell branded windows key that usually follows the dells hardware so, unless the chip is worth 1000 bucks, I'd take a hard pass. I hate to be so critical about dell... but I'm just stating the facts. However if your buying someone a pc to do casual game play or web surfing than a dell could be a grate deal.

bastages..."in store only."

Yeah, I took advantage of that $150 3600/B450M deal... AGAIN... last week, after getting the same deal for $130 (went toward fixing somebody's PC). I should go back and get an RX 6600, but I have an old 970 laying around here that would do until I upgrade my own machine and can move my 3070 to this new box.

I'm about 1100 miles from the closest MC store...I wish they'd ship to us folks in far-flung regions.

That's exactly the usage it will see. Nothing cutting edge...just another appliance like a toaster. A laptop is too cramped so a desktop "toaster" works best..

I curiously opened a 10th gen Dell office PC to see its innards. Was pretty surprised to see it very clean and bare, with almost zero cable clutter. There was plenty of space for air to move around. A blower style GPU would work fine in something like that.

as long as it didn't draw more power than the usually undersized (for most GPU's) Dell PSU could handle.

@IGBT - it has been crickets on this thread for a few months and I was wondering what you ended up doing. You never stated what you were going to use the computer for. Do you really need an i7-12700?

On Black Friday 2022 I stopped by the MC in Marietta, GA and put together a 2nd computer to play with for just over $500 with tax. I already had a monitor, KB & Mouse. I play WOW and have taken two characters to level 70 with this system with plenty of eye candy. I'm not saying that this is a killer system, but that you can do much better than the Dell. I've purchased 5 off-lease Dell OptiPlex systems in the past 2 years and that is another option. I just put together an OptiPlex 9020 MT as my younger, 66 year-old, brother's first computer. It has an i7-4790, 16GB RAM, 512GB SATA SSD, Win 10 Pro and a Quadro M4000. It is going to serve him well and last a few years. I put just over $200 into it. Oh, someone donated a nice monitor.

The system in my sig benchmarks much faster, but I use this one a lot more and don't feel and any noticeable difference.

So far no purchase...I'm thinking along the lines of a laptop...I bought the XPS Dell desktop as kind of a hedge against obsolescence. Really didn't need all that horsepower. Your system looks great and a great pricepoint...
