Delta dual motor fan

Delta 120mm dual motor fan... its essentially two fans in one.

Cool eh? I've heard good things about the standard delta fans, and I am purchasing a few in the coming days but this one caught my eye.

If you can stand the 59dba of vacuum like sound, you get just over 220 CFM of air....
It weighs 1.25lbs so heatsink mounting might be troublesome, but it still looks pretty awesome.

It claims to be quieter than the TFB while maintiaining the same airflow.

Anyone ever used one?

I did. Not only could I hear the vaccuum sound, but I could also hear the sound of air rushing through the blades of the intake fan as air was basically sucked through XD

They might. If there are limited fan mounts on a case or if air speed is as much (if not more than) a concern than raw cfm alone, then they might benefit from the use of a fan like this. Otherwise you could get about the same air movement from a pair of 110 cfm fans operating in parallell with less noise.

which fan controller would be able to handle those??? i'm not sure the rheobus would be able to power more than 1 (if 1) of those...

i have two of these powered on my rheobus and they undervolt really well down to about 5V. very quiet @ 7v and still push more air than a yate.

in what case would u put that fan in?

I have an older Delta fan that was rated at 50-something decibels, and I'm telling you that unless you hear it, you aren't really prepared for how loud they are. It's about like someone using hair dryer in the bathroom with the door open while you're standing in the hallway.
