Sweet, so you're a total ass. But apparently you somehow think this is cool as you continually brag about it

If anything I was bragging about my skill in the game, not about being an ass. I can only tolerate so much badness in my teammates, I only have so much patience. Average players, thats fine, slightly below average, tolerable. When my only teammate clearly drinks from lead pipes and is half my level in the game, that is when I think it is fair for the gloves to come off. I did try to teach him what to do but he was a lost cause and I wanted to win. He didn't actually talk back so either he wasn't english or perhaps in his calculating of his complex strategy he didn't have enough brain cells left to respond. I'm thinking the latter though since he did quit when I asked him to.

I play to win, pal.

Hey you sucked too sometime, if you like to play to win then find a permanent partner, if you ever did play WC3 besides DOTA then you'd know playing AT was a hundred times better than playing RT. RT was pretty much just for fun, solo and AT were for "playing to win".

Same with Demigod, be more tolerant with the people you play with, you aren't always going to get DOTA world champions as partners, deal with it or find permanent partner/s instead of being a world-class asshole.

The game is 2 weeks old and I can say that in my first game I was considerably better than my teammate was in this game. Sure, it was an asshole thing to do to ask him to leave the game, but this guy was so bad I'm not sure if he was intentionally feeding or had never used a mouse and keyboard before, or what. Frankly it was either me or him, and I felt I could still win if he left. It turned out to be a pretty entertaining game in the end, after what was initially about as much fun as running a marathon with a 10kg rock tied to my ankles.

And yes, I can be hardcore in games, I was kicked out of a WoW guild I was the class leader of for being too hard on deadweight players and too elitist in general, only to find myself a month later playing amongst the best players in North America in a top competing guild. If I had of played nice with slacking players I would of still been in the mediocre guild. Made $750 usd selling that character too.

Again, you're missing the point, if you want to play competitively then find a permanent partner. It doesn't matter how good you are, to "play to win" you must play solo or with arranged teams; I don't believe you can do solo for Demigod, therefore, your only option is to play with an arranged team, man up and behave or start playing for fun.

If you do decide to play random team, face the consequences, I don't care if you get matched with a a guy who can barely move his Demigod, just be nice and play with him, give him some tips and try to make the best out of a bad situation (might make you a better player) or just be quite and lose like a man or at worse, just leave the game. Just don't bully the poor guy.

Well I wasn't always, but then I found out that if I bring my illustrious WoW career into the conversation all of a sudden its like their clothes just fall off on their own!

Being exceptional at video games is something that requires intelligence, and that carries over to anything else. I have a degree, and a career as a professional. I workout regularly and would rate my knowledge of health above my knowledge of computers (which is fairly extensive). I jog at least 5km a day, and can still sit down and embarrass you at nearly any game you want to play. Schmuck, your name is well deserved.

That's nice. You can't jog away dickishness and anyone who takes videogames that seriously should worry about that.

I picked up the game over the weekend. I really like the Rook the most so far but I also want to check our Regulus (the archer).

I'm pretty interested in this game, but I'm in a situation now (new baby) where I can't commit any chunk of time to a game. Basically, I need to be able to pause the game and get up at a moment's notice.

Is SP mode at all enjoyable? I assume there is some sort of skirmish set up.

The singleplayer mode isn't very enjoyable. Tournament mode on hard basically pits you against hard ai's while giving you a team of easy ai's and you win by having the high score despite losing most of the games. skirmish might entertain for a few games but I don't think its worth the purchase price without multiplayer.

What's your 5km time, 400M time, max back squat, max deadlift and max number pull-ups? I better be impressed.

Thanks, that's good to know. How long does an MP game usually take? Or what is the range between a fast game and one that goes to the wire?

for me it seems like the larger maps yield shorter games. sometimes a match might be over in 15-20 minutes or last longer than an hour, depending on the map and the skill of your opponents

I got this game on Saturday and wanted to share some of my thoughts with you guys. Most of the connection issues have been ironed out, however be aware that this game uses a p2p system, and custom games can take 10-15 to setup and start since everyone has to be connected to the host as well as the other players in the room. Skirmish and Pantheon games are faster to connect to.

I have played this game for over 25 hours now - all of it online. The competition can be a bit extreme at times since there's a lot of people who have played the beta and probably DOTA, and will straight up dominate you. In other words, yeah I still suck after 25 hours lol. I hope they implement a better match-making/ranking system so my noob ass doesn't get dominated most of the time.

Most games will average between 25 - 45 minutes, sprinkled in with rage quitters and dropped connections. 2vs2 and 3vs3 matches work just fine for me. 4 vs 4 works mostly too. Don't bother with 5 vs 5 for now. Too much lag.

They have been patching the game constantly, and it is much more stable and playable online then say 1 week ago.

We should totally start an AT Demigod group. Go Regulus!

Jeez guys, make a lets ban Tiduz or lets call Tiduz names thread and consolidate this, stop pooping all over the demigod thread. Better yet, buy the game and challenge me to a game.

As you are apparently pretty good at the game, so all that [buying the game and challenging you] would prove is that you can beat us at Demigod.

You are continually missing the point. But I guess understanding that would be something that requires intelligence .

^^^ Agreed.

Here's my attempt:
I want to pick up Demigod, but it's a little pricey now. Does being on Impulse preclude it from ever being on Steam (along with a very nice weekend sale)?

This is why I am holding back as well. Don't feel like dropping $50 after taxes for it, when I have no idea if I will even enjoy the style of play. Sure wish there was a demo.

It sells for 39.99 on Impulse (Digital Download). And yeah, being on Stardock Impulse and being a Stardock published game, will indeed preclude it from being sold on Steam. Stardock Impulse has weekend sale from time to time too.
