I have been watching these developments for some time. As alarm bells started to ring, as they started actively supporting Islamic terrorism, and as they started waging war on free media and, ultimately, on free elections.

Now Turkey has descended so far that Erdogan declares any opposition or dissent is to be treated as terrorism. The media has his back... because there's none left that don't answer to him.

Erdogan declares that the rule of law is over. That Democracy ends with him.

It might be considered that the Turks are occupying Kurdish land. So there is a violent clash where Turkey does not recognize any Kurdish independence. In that battle there is a great deal of blood spilled on both sides and in recent escalations Erdogan is reaching to both consolidate power and take the gloves off.

This is Turkey with a war face and war powers.

Someone might argue that something is lost in the translation... maybe Erdogan doesn't intend for this martial tyranny to last forever... but if that's true it's missing in the news I've seen.

Poor Turkey. They made a lot of headway before Erdogan decided to pull this shit and are no going in reverse. It's a wonderful country, and they have my sympathy.
