Funnily enough today I was wearing a Kamala 24 shirt and got a couple thumbs up on my long evening dog walk. And after chatting to a couple friends close to home I turned around and headed towards my house and saw a guy wearing that fucking t-shirt. Balls to the Walz. Blue shirt big ass white lettering. I gave him a compliment. He sheepishly smiled. Not sure if it was because I was being awkward and embarrassing or if he just thought I was really cute. I'm getting older it's getting hard to figure that one out whoever it may be.

I still might order a "not going back" tshirt or something a little less in your face, but I'd still watch out where I'd wear it. Life in a bass-ackward red state.

I did change my work chat avatar to Tim Walz, hey if you don't like it then remove the ability to change photos I work at a Uni so it's pretty safe ground for that sort of thing despite the rube nature of the surrounding environs.

Bill Clinton said some great things but it just took way too long. He went so far over his minutes. Great content, just took too long for the setups. It's important for people to be up to see the coach accept the nomination, so he should have kept it shorter. I mean the guy does impart great and humorous wisdom from all his experiences, but you got to know when not to hog the stage either.

Seems to me you live in the wrong state Ondma. It's still legal to move around the country, unless of course Trump wins and it's 2025 and you are a pregnant woman.

I'm visiting MN in a few weeks, might move there from FL. Tradesies! You'd like it here--no tax. There is the pesky problem of super high insurance due to hurricanes getting worse (though of course climate change is false) and the heat getting worse (see above), and you might want to buy inland just saying. Added bonus, our "education" system is getting pumped with anti-woke conservative curriculum featuring such jewels as "slavery's good side", side benefit is chasing off lots of pissed off teachers (who needs em, more money to give to private Christian schools if the public education gets gutted). Lots of people love that too!

Personally the way I look at it is that sometimes you get what you pay for. And, that there are many ways to pay, some are deferred. But no place is perfect. And like everyone if I get taxed I'd like to be used properly, not given to rich dicks that don't need it like Trump's "reform".

Not watching at all. Definitely hope Kamala wins, but not really enthusiastic about her and Walz. I figure if Kamala wins and the Reps keep at least one house of Congress, not much will get done. I wish she was a bit more focused on cutting spending and reducing the deficit, instead of just throwing money at every problem. And anything she would try to do by executive order will be blocked by SCOTUS. So basically, I feel if Kamala gets elected things will go on pretty much as they are, and if Trump gets elected we will be in for a rough ride, but as long as the Dems keep either the House or Senate perhaps they can block his more malignant endeavors. If Trump wins, and the Reps take both houses of Congress, wow, we are in a world of hurt.

If you voted for Trump in 2016 he raised the deficit 50% even before the pandemic and it did nothing for the economy except give the rich and corporations a massive win.

Edit: Fun fact. Over half of the states in the US have a maximum state income tax rate lower than the minimum bracket in Minnesota.

Just for the record, AOC graduated cum laude and had a double major in both International Relations and Economics. She graduated in 4 years and was 4th in her class.

You can disagree with AOC on policy but she has an attribute most Republicans don't. She is a decent human being.

Exactly, they as an organization have no interest in this. They are simply displaying how butt hurt they are they didn’t get invited to speak because they went to the Republican Convention. I fully agree with not inviting them, they publicly backstabbed Democrats and that changes the relationship.
