I stayed up for the entire thing, I wouldn't have been able to sleep anyway as my wife wasn't turning it off! I waited patiently for Kamala's speech. It was very good, except it started to get long after 5 minutes. I went and brushed my teeth and got ready for bed while listening to it. I think she belabored the details too much for an acceptance speech, she didn't need to convince anyone there or watching of her policies.

Granddad was a staunch Democrat. Having spent much of his adult life as a mail carrier, he was a strong union supporter. My grandmother on the other hand was a dyed-in-the-wool Republican. They fought like cats and dogs over politics...until she threw a salt cellar at him and broke his wrist when he put it up to block it from hitting him in the face...because he didn't support her candidate. They divorced shortly after that.
