To be honest, I think the transition to Harris was planned for a while. And the timing was strategically delayed until after Trump picked a VP and had his campaign set in stone.
I think Joe's refusals AND his debate failure were all theater until the change could be made.
The timing couldn't have been more perfect.
That's my conspiracy theory. I'm not married to it, but I am banging it like she's mine.

Nielsen does still install devices in people's homes for tracking metrics, and pays people for participating, so presumably there's enough care out there for them to maintain the program.

Good summary however 70-something days can easily change that plus the random bad camera moment can doom anyone. We are a very fickle people when it comes to the President.

Yes, it's a long time in politics. And Michelle Obama addressed this potential quite well, and what to do if when we have some bad moments. It was fantastic. But also, the Trump campaign looks like shit and he is just getting worse by the day.

I really don't know why we need Bill Clinton speaking at all. But he is right before Walz, who ends the night. It should be Mayor Pete, then Walz, just hit them with the 1-2 punch of those two, clinton is stale. He was never a cool president like he tried to be. Only Jimmy Carter and Obama have been actually cool in the last half century.
