I for one have been enjoying watching you work yourself into voting for Trump. (I imagine you will deny it, but no one is fooled) It was obvious you would do that from the beginning, I just find it amusing to see you do it, especially after years of complaining that Obama was a thin skinned narcissist.

Bernie did the right thing. The race between him & Hillary never got that insulting, like he never called her someone who can't be trusted with nuclear codes and she never accused him of having small hands or his father being involved in the Kennedy assassination. Hillary may not be his first choice but since he has no realistic path she is good enough for him.

The rich are very much out to get the middle class and have been very effective in doing so. Class warfare has raged for decades and the rich are kicking middle class ass. America's wealth class has been systematically dismantling the policies and institutions that gave rise to and sustain the middle class. From tax policy to the assault on public education to the assault on labor unions and pensions, trade policy, the diminishment of social security, relaxed laws on predatory lending, bankruptcy "reform". deregulation of banks and utilities, the rich are knocking the wheels off of the middle class and pocketing the money.

It always amazes me that many native born Americans bitch that they can't find work or they don't make enough, yet when I talk to immigrants they're working 12-16 hour days. Why is this? Maybe it's because many Americans have just gotten lazy. And why not.

The way we think about money is broken. How many people here have had talks with their parents about money? About getting rich. So rich that you'll never EVER have to worry about money again.

It's the same damn thing. Nothing has changed. How is that working out for many people? Not well.

We are living in a time of massive disruption. And it's going to get worse. Technology is going to eliminate many low paying jobs that many people need to survive. It's also true that technology will create jobs, but normally those jobs are reserved for people with much higher skills than flipping burgers.

Bernie's claims that the rich are out to get the middle class are ridiculous. We live in the richest country in America. As my rich friend told me "there is so much money in the world that if you were to take home $1b it would be a non-event."

I don't know if anyone else mentioned it, but the tone of the two conventions is night and day. The DNC so far has been mostly about optimism and the RNC was mostly about doom, gloom, and frothing hatred.

It's nice to be reminded how different the two parties are sometimes. The Republicans really have just gone off the deep end.

No, that's not what it shows. What it shows is that as bad as he his, the person he's running against is even worse. We're picking between two lousy alternatives, but she's so horrible I can't imagine picking her over any of the possible candidates other than Ted Cruz. I consider her and Ted to be in the same league of horrible. The rest just a step up from that.
