The prediction that the House could possibly be won by the opposition party? Of course not, don't be silly. The only truly stupid prediction at this point would be that the House ISN'T in play, which is what you appear to be arguing.

If anyone's trying to make themselves feel better it's the guy who is trying to convince himself that large measured shifts in election results don't indicate any change.
Feelings have nothing to do with it. Extrapolating anything today to the possible results of an election that's over a year away is a fool's folly imo.

And yet here you are saying that a prediction that either party could win the House when every seat is up for election is wishful thinking.

You did not think this through.

I think it's entirely appropriate to show friends to racists in a poor light, don't you?
So I'm a friend to racists now...got it. Has it ever occurred to you that you may have some relatively significant issues with perceiving reality?

Not especially. How about you?

Nah, I've made it abundantly clear that I don't care if people insult me and I'm perfectly fine with insulting the people who deserve it.

You, on the other hand, frequently whine about how mean people are to you only to later insult them in the same ways you complain about.

I see nothing at this time which compels me to expect anything that significantly deviates from status quo.

It's an unimpeachable fact that you identify with the party of white nationalists, and plainly evident you're proud of any victory they might eek out.

Whatever you need to tell yourself. Apparently predictions are a fool's errand unless that prediction is yours.

You really are one of my favorite ATPN hypocrites because you seem to believe so strongly that you aren't one despite all available evidence.

Well there you go...you only insult people when they deserve it (implying that I don't do the same)! Such profound rationalization logic! lol

EDIT: But I'll take issue that you don't care. You've whined many times about my calling you dishonest iirc.

Huh? You need to read better. Unlike you I don't whine about incivility when people insult me. That's what makes you a hypocrite. It has nothing to do with anyone deserving anything.

You are free to endlessly call me a liar every time I point out something dumb you said, it doesn't bother me. It's just a mark of your insecurity. Unlike you though I don't insult people and then turn around and complain that we shouldn't insult people.

Absolutely not. The only thing I ever point out about your endless accusations of dishonesty is that you resort to that immediately whenever the stupidity of your arguments has been exposed. If you ever actually read my posts you would see this is exactly what I have always said. (Use the search function!)

It has nothing to do with me caring if you call me dishonest as frankly it's obviously the flailing of a proud but stupid person attempting to protect their sense of dignity.

Worth reiterating that one such empirical observation is Doc Savage & co will never get mouthy with any right wing race realist or such like he often does with liberals, because he politically identifies with one instead of the other. That's how the right in this country wins elections.

It's true that DSF only whines about civility with those he disagrees with but I care less about that. He doesn't have to be the forum police where he calls out everything he disagrees with, my issue is that he's hypocritical about the things he chooses to post about.

I think it's key to highlight the partnership between the selfish right and the racist right because that's what keeps them in the game. It's pretty arguably the most essential relationship in all of american politics.

Liar? Perhaps so...but I typically call you dishonest iirc. Regardless, your continual whining about it appears to contradict your statement that my calling you out on your intellectual dishonesty doesn't bother you. You're quite the enigma it seems.

I'm merely observing empirical reality here, which consequently portray your kind very poorly. You'll need to change that reality if you wish to avoid their consequences.
Please answer the question I asked. What would you have me change that would in some small way satisfy you?

I don't think you're too dumb to understand the answer already provided, even if you're obligated to play dumb about anything inconvenient to understand.

Yes I am truly a mystery. Lol. I'm not complicated to understand.

I genuinely don't know why you continue to converse with me. You don't have much understanding of public policy so you're just here to strut your political beliefs, which conveniently change as necessitated by your partisanship. At this point you have to realize that stupid partisans proudly strutting their dumb opinions is like catnip to me so I'm just going to keep making fun of you about your uninformed ideas and hypocritical stances as long as you keep making them. This seems to genuinely bother you so much that at one point you decided to abandon the forum because it made you too angry in real life. If that's the case why do you persist? If this place makes you as unhappy as it appears to what do you get from it?

Admittedly I can be pretty damn dense at times....accordingly, I'm quite open to having things explained to me in simple ways that I can understand. I find that we can get to the actual root of these matters much more quickly in this manner. But I don't blame you for not playing...it's a sucker's gambit for sure.

Not sure what you mean. Can you elaborate? Did you mean it as a referendum on Trump? If so, a 20 point swing away from Republicans sure seems to be an extremely negative referendum on Trump. I would imagine even the most partisan republican would admit it looks bad.

It's good to hear you're so thrilled with the Dems performance. You're obviously into moral vistories. I think we have something in common here. I'm thrilled with how the Dems did on that Tuesday too.
