Admittedly I can be pretty damn dense at times....accordingly, I'm quite open to having things explained to me in simple ways that I can understand. I think it's a wonderful result. The GOP candidate outperformed the polls. There's typically an adjustment after a new party takes over the White House, particularly one with approval ratings like his. I thought it was a minor miracle that the Republicans held onto that seat

Speaking of being literate, I specifically said I couldn't wait for your next bits of wisdom, not your next round of patting yourself on the back and assuring yourself that other people are successful only because they were born lucky (and therefore it's okay to rob them.)Having society take some of the money you earned while keeping rules in place that let you "earn" money by having money and by being the product of the right person's ejaculate is a pretty sweet deal as it turns out! Same goes for having a bit of the breathtaking sums some people "earn" skimmed off to make the poverty others "earn" with the same amount of work a bit more bearable and so that we can keep having vaguely educated workers.
As for management and similar types who get paid for actual work, just consider it a non-consensual investment in having people who can actually do the jobs that produce that much wealth for management, because the wealthy are breathtakingly short-sighted.
Also, if you were literate, you'd have noticed that being hated by republicans is an inevitable consequence of being an effective dem leader, not a sign. Anybody can earn you guys' hatred for being a vaguely decent human being, so it's a terrible metric for whether they're doing a good job of standing up to you. But I tell you what, once you support getting that gormless bastard McConnell out or better yet giving him the polio he would've had if it weren't for public sector healthcare out because he's less popular we can talk.
