It's a common theme from the left and especially this president. That you owe everything to government. You didn't build that, etc. Well now they've come out and said what they really mean, you actually BELONG to the government. Romney was quick to jump on it and point out that no, WE the people OWN government. They serve US.

yada, taken out of context, yada, not what they really meant. If so then WHY is this a constant belief and message from the liberal?

Yesterday, a video played at the Democratic National Convention sent the Internet ablaze after it featured a voice saying glowingly that we “belong” to government. And now, the Obama campaign and the DNC are scrambling to distance themselves.

Incorruptible, Lithium, and spidey have already proven that at least some Americans are too stupid to understand the proper context. And as Gonad pointed out, the same thing happened with the "you didn't build that" incorrect interpretation. It's not that Americans as a whole are too stupid to understand, it's that those who might ever consider voting Republican are too stupid to understand. If they weren't stupid, they'd never even consider voting Republican afterall.
