Demon LED power supply?

I have a clear case and so I need a good lookin power suplpy... So, is this good cuz on newegg it has ok feedback?

VERY low 12V rail I think a 480 watt PSU for 25 bucks = JUNK!!! I wouldn't get that.

About any PSU for $25 is trouble waiting to happen. If you absolutely must have a PSU that is an eye catcher, and need 480 watts, try the Antec True Blue 480.

Antec also makes a 350 watt version of their "regular" power supplies that blue LEDs.

The discussion of light coming from a power supply makes me feel like I'm a dinosaur. The primary thing I want out of a power supply is dependable power.

i have a 275watter from pc power and cooling that has more than that does on the 12v rail! ha!

OT but, can someone explain to me how to read the rail ratings from PSU's? I'm confused about how to tell what is a good psu (besides by naming price/name brand).

Have had nothing but problems with Powmax PSU's. Like playing Russion roulette with five out of six cylinders filled. Do you feel lucky?

Personally I care more about brand than the numbers. I don't really care what some cheesy company says their power supply can do.

tell us what your system is, and tell us what possible upgrades you might be getting in the future, and then we can recommend a psu.
i personally use antec true series - not too expensive, great power

Correct. Most of the cheaper power supply (psu) mfg's get their ratings from <40C temps, and the typical temp is 40C. With that in mind a "so-called" 550w psu is more like 350w unit and @ 50C it's around 250w. Just like car amplifiers.....watts is not everything. When you purchase a cheap psu you are asking for trouble.

Yeah kind of reminds me of all those little computer speakers that said they had 400 watt (P.M.P.O) amps in them. Crappy little things barely even weighed a pound or two. I know using weight is not the best indication of quality but I remember when putting my Enermax in noting how much heavier it was than the P.O.S. that came with the case.

Ok listen up i just had this Demon PSU Fry my Hard drive.i would not suggest buying this junk. now someone please come shoot me for buying it.3 days with no PC has me on the edge as is lol.
