I need to have some dental work later in the year. No dental at work now, anyone has any experience with dental insurance for individuals? I've seen a lot of discount plans and all that, but i'm looking for more traditional insurance.

Read my thread about it. Many people agreed with my statement. The insurance companies have quite a few rules and limits that you wouldn't think of (ex. a limit on the covered expense per filling/root canal/other procedure, not paying for composite fillings on pre-molars and molars, etc.). If you go in and do what your dentist recommends, you will more than likely pay more than you expected to based on your dental coverage guide.
