Walk into a Biker Bar with an attitude.

Like this one, :| for example.

That should at least get it loose enough to spit out.

p.s.

If you REALLY want to know how.

There are web pages you can look up
that explain "tooth extraction" Dig around
on a few search engines.

What you have to do is to first use your fingers, rock the tooth you want to pull out back and forth really hard for a few hours, do this for a few days or maybe a week, eventually, the tooth will become loose, then you can use a plier or maybe tie one end of a string to your tooth, another to a door knob and slam the door really hard, either way, it will be painful, so make sure you have pain killer ready.

don't hold me responsible for it if it doesn't work, if you sue me, you won't get anything, because i am dirt poor!

dude, is there a dental school near you? a lot of universities are always looking for patients and they work cheap. a friend of mine always goes to the U of M for dental work and has been pleased with the results. I'd look into that 1st if i were you.

On a related note ...

Where can you buy dental insurance if your work doesn't offer it ..

All I've seen are those "discount plans" Are they even worth it?

If I were you, I'll be less worried about the pain of extracting the tooth, and more worried about the possibility of having infection on your mouth, or in the nerve in the surrounding area, and loosen other teeth.. Next thing you know, you have to spend mucho $$$ to fix the rest of the teeth as well as the medicine to cure infections (antibiotics, etc).

Dentist are wanting an exam fee, xrays and then of course the tooth extraction fee. Frankly I just dont have the money to
get the job done.

What do you recommend to do the job? What sort of force does it take to pull the tooth? At this point the tooth is not loose...I
figure its going to need some side to side pushing to help first loosen it up.
I figure the worst that could happen is that I could crush all of the tooth and then have nothing to grab onto.

Please help!

dude, self extraction will prrobably end up costing you more because most likely if the tooth is not loose you will break it off.
big bill there.
bite the bullet and go to the dentist. just arrange payments, after all they are doctors and they will take what you can afford on a monthly basis. i am speaking from experience here.

First off, like almost everyone else, I would suggest not doing it yourself. First, check around with local health department and any clinics or universities (worst case check some churches).

But if you insist on doing it yourself consider a few points:
1.) The pain, not only are you going to need pain killers for the wound but also the pain will probably be to intense for you to bear... so someone else will have to do it for you (enlist a friend)
2.) The severity of the wound caused: it is going to bleed profusely and it will have a large gaping wound unless you also close the thing back up yourself.
3.) Infection: you mouth is chock full-o-bacteria. It is one of the worst places to have a wound and it circulates close to your heart, so if you have a heart murmur or something else like me, a little bacteria in your blood stream can casue a lot of damage. Also sterilze any tools which you will use, don't just take a pair of pliers that are laying around and stick them in your mouth.
4.) Sub point from above, you will need antibitoic, not just over the counter, prescription antibiotic or an infection can spread and we are talking marjor damage which can result in losing a lot more of your mouth and sourounding tissue, and most likey a large bill form your local hospital. Also because you seem to be the type of person [rant] if you begin a prescription of antibiotics, finsh off the damn bottle as perscribed, don't just stop becasue you think you are better. and don't save a couple for a quick fix on a cold or flu for later. it is those people who do that which have created new antibiotic resistant strains[/rant]

Followup: Don't do it yourself. And by the way wehre do you live??

Christ, go to a dentist!

This isn't like pulling a loose tooth when you're 7, the potential for damage to surrounding teeth (not to mention gum and jaw) is astounding.

Even if you have to pay $0.50 a month for the rest of eternity, go get it done right.

(Tell me you didn't do it with vise grips?)

Let me say this.

#1 - You are a crazy bastard for being to cheap to have this done. You can do SO MUCH damage to your jaw and the bone around it by doing this.

#2 - There is no pain involved in having a tooth pulled. I had to have one pulled years ago and let me tell you, the SECOND it came out of my mouth I was relieved. There is the discomfort of exposed gum, but my mouth, head and entire body felt much better the second the dentist got that damned thing out of my mouth.

1. do not try this at home kids.
2. I take responsiblility for my own actions
3. I knew the risks
4. it worked out well for me, the tooth came out easy
