Christ, go to a dentist!

This isn't like pulling a loose tooth when you're 7, the potential for damage to surrounding teeth (not to mention gum and jaw) is astounding.

Even if you have to pay $0.50 a month for the rest of eternity, go get it done right.

He seems to have already done it!

If that is his tooth (which I seriously doubt) he needs to go to a dentist for more than just an extraction.

Looks real enough to me.

I'm sure he would be happy to take some more pictures of it for us.

Could you, BentValve? Some nice closeups for everyone.

Be sure to put that "BentValve's Dental Clinic" note in the pic. That's hilarious

Look, its not rocket science.. what do you think they did back in the old days?? I dont see how pulling your own tooth is any
worse than letting your wife give birth at home.

Thats even a weird, yucky, painful, dumb idea

That's funny, my girlfriends mother had all of her 7 babies on the same bed she conceived them. El naturale baby. I don't see a problem with it, as long as of course, you have a good midwife.

Nice... I've been thinking about this also. It's not a money issue for me it's a "can't trust those crooks" issue.

I've been reading about it and the only negative I can find is getting "dry socket". Apparently you get this after a tooth is pulled. It's basically a rot in the socket. If you already did this then be aware of this. I think the solution is putting gauze in the hole with some antibiotics. I'm not sure of the details.

Keep us informed. If you go two weeks without dry socket I'll give it a try also. I think the main symtom of dry socket is horrible odor and a numbing pain.

I know... I want to see if he gets dry socket. That's the only part that's stopping me right now.

a dry socket only really occurs if you lose the initial scab your body makes over the scar. A bunch of things can do it to, but most likely if you suck somthing through a straw like a jamba juice , your scab'll pop right out.

edit: .... im hungry

but that's bad to give birth at home.. not a good example..

People who give birth at home (I know, my wife did) have a certified nurse midwife there, and usually an assistant, along with a full complement of emergency medical supplies. And a doctor and ambulance on backup.

A little different

it worked out well for me, the tooth came out easy
It came out easy cuz you left half of it in your mouth!!!!

Wisdom tooth roots go straight into your jawbone. Go pay the $20 at a cheapo place to have them take xrays. You'll see the roots still in there.

Not kidding. They'll hurt even more than the tooth did once they start moving (and they will!!!) I've got a sliver of a root in my mouth that was left behind by a previous dentist that fvckd up an extraction. He put a bridge over the hole, so now I gotta wait 2 more years for the insurance to cover a replacement bridge so I can get that @#%@#% sliver out. Constant pain. Not worth it.

Yuck! some of you people are freaks! :Q

Well, not because I actually want to see it, but that's the proof I'd need to believe this. I just don't believe that a person can extract a normal healthy tooth without a debilitating amount of pain. I'm not even sure that's a real tooth, those roots look wrong to me. Of course I'm no dentist so that's not saying much.

look at the pic, he wrote his ATOT handle and stuff on that piece of paper, I have no doubt that it's real.

he probably just put all the pliars there for effect.

You should be able to tell if it broke off or not.

I do believe that the tooth is real (I've had 4 of my own teeth pulled as well as my 4 wisdom teeth surgically removed. My 4 pulled teeth look just like that), however, I also have to call BS on the self-extraction, especially if it's indeed a wisdom tooth.
