FTFYOther teams consider the year a success when the make the playoffs. The Pats don't consider the year a success unles they WIN the Super Bowl.
Nope, he's playing a mile up in some pretty thin air. It does give them a slight advantage. But he's not playing indoors in the Noise Dome anymore either.
Exactly!Manning with a competent defense is pretty terrifying considering what he was able to do in the past without one.
Despite being to the playoffs 10 times before this year, Manning has only been to the Super Bowl twice (winning one, losing one)
Tom Brady, correct me if I'm wrong, has been in the playoffs 10 times. And Brady has been to the Super Bowl 5 times winning 3 times.
Hmmm. Would it be fair to say Manning tends to choke in the playoffs?
Lets look at more recent history, since no one really cares anymore what happened a decade ago when the Patriots had the best scoring defense in the NFL. Since 2006, Brady is 7-5 in the playoffs, including two one-and-dones and two Superbowl losses, and a loss head to head to Manning, who is 6-4 in the playoffs in the same span, including two one-and-dones and a Superbowl victory. So if you're taking into account more recent history, the odds are much more even, if not slightly in Peyton's favor.
HeHe. Maybe the Broncos could make a quick trade for the brother who doesn't choke?
Other teams consider the year a success when the make the playoffs. The Pats don't consider the year a success unles they make the Super Bowl.

He faced NE a lot of those times... so, hard to say he choked when he was playing the best football team in a decade.
Tom Brady chokes against the Giants. I bet he is relieved to see them gone.
the crowd isnt going to be quiet for him when hes on the road...
Three out of five Super Bowl wins? I bet every team would die for that kind of choking.
But...but...Manning choked! Even though the Patriots were a better team!
No mention of the 2006 AFC Championship choke job by the Patriots, conveniently (cue "It was Reche Caldwell's fault!" whining from Pats fans). What's worse -- to go in and lose a game right from the start (like the Colts going to Foxboro) or to be up 18 points late in the first half and then get steamrolled in the second half?
I bet Rex Ryan would give his big toe to get to even one Super Bowl
However, the odds are the Skins fans will retire with their one, or none, wins in the playoffs and spend the rest of the offseason circle jerking any thread that suggests RG3 shouldn't already be in the HOF
Could happen...but damn, I hope not.
The only team I hate worse than the Denver Donkeys is the Oaktown Raiders.
Quoted for stupidity. Better to be in the game then not at all.
Thank you for taking the time to post that. I was going to the same thing but was lazy. Brady hasn't exactly been a stud the last 5-7 years in the playoffs. He looked like hammered dogshit a couple years ago against the Ravens in that first round game. And it probably haunts his dreams that little Dopey Manning has bumped him twice now for the Lombardi.
I bet Rex Ryan would give his wife's big toe to get to even one Super Bowl

You're one of the idiots who seemed to solely blame Reche Caldwell for the 2006 loss and ignored the role the rest of the team (ie, the Pats defense) played. So forgive me if I discount your opinion.
In the era of parity getting to the Super Bowl year after year like the Pats have is perhaps the greatest feat in the history of professional football.
Teams go from one win to playoffs like Indy and from .500 to the top seed in a year. Yet, year after year the Pats make the playoffs and get into the Super Bowl on average 50 percent of the time. And Brady and the Pats coming up a little short with the lowest draft picks, hardest schedule and the salary cap is still an astonishing feat.
