I bet this will be locked but I give it a shot in the spirit that it will enhance the "Hot Deal" brothers out there. I saw this in another post and was enlightened and can use this type of info on future hot deal purchases. I bought some items from Compgeeks and have returned some stuff. Please post a short description of the deal site/sites that you've inspected on a visit.
Axiontech, Houston, Texas:
Last year it was a small corner warehouse witha walkin room (12x12) with a window and a bunch of items stuck on the shelves and a xerox copy of the website so you could order at the window. They now have moved three buildings over, bigger warehouse and larger sales room (12x30). More out to see, more people there in the warehouse. Nice glass case where they mount motherboards and processors in the sales lobby.
Here's the description from the other post on Compgeeks:
<< It's in a nice industrial park, they moved there last year I think. It's not really a store - for a "will call" pickup, you go in a little office at the end. They have 4 or 5 chairs in a waiting area, and 2 computers, each next to a window like at a doctor's office. To order, you use the computers and go to the compgeek.com's web site! Just select "will call" shipping for pick-up, turn and pay the nice lady at the window, then wait 10 or 15 minutes. >>
