Deshawn Stevenson is a cool dood from what I've heard and read about him. He played for the Mavericks the year they won the championship. It was a mistake letting him go as he is a solid defender with good shooting from 3. He is also a good chemistry guy. Dudes dad is in prison for strangling his grandmother when he was 12. I'd say he seems pretty well adjusted considering how hectic his childhood must have been.

Deshawn Stevenson doesn't make $26 million a season. That's what he's made in his CAREER as of 2010 (closer to around $31 mil total now). His salary this season is $2,240,450

Apparently you're not familiar with the statistics on how many professional athletes end up broke within a couple of years playing. If you get a chance, take a look at the ESPN 30 for 30 show "Broke". Roughly 80% of players end up broke within a couple of years of playing.

Has nothing to do with black/white. I would just find it kind of tempting to have several thousand dollars in a box within the privacy of my own home. Yes, with enough effort an ATM can be broken into, just that you never hear about it because most ATMs are in a public area.

There was a rash of ATM thefts around here a couple of years ago. They'd find one of the small ones (like in the pic) in a store. Break in at night, hitch it up with some very strong cables or chains and then yank it out, stealing the whole machine. How they got into it after that I don't know, but it wouldn't be that hard with no set time limit.

There are ways to dress nice that do not make you look like Urkel. Lime green highwater pants with an untucked shirt and a bowtie is not one of them.

And white people who dress in fully coordinated sports team outfits with the hat turned sideways look like thugs too, it has nothing to do with skin color.

Yes - I am sure it has nothing to do with having a very obvious storage location for a notable amount of money prominently displayed combined with the possibility of less monitoring/easier removal than other ATMs

Like I said before, when have you ever heard of somebody breaking INTO an ATM and stealing the money?

Asking "There are going to be security cameras on it, right?" or "How does the bank make sure the money isnt stolen" raises my eyebrows.

All of a sudden, shit that is unlikely to happened is being questioned..

Stories about stolen ATMs is nothing even remotely new. If you have ever heard of a site called 'Google' you can find stories easily enough. I spent about 10 seconds there and found out that generally all you need to break into one is a blow torch.

I mean its not like any stories report that people actually got the money out of the ATM right?

An ATM stolen Friday morning from a Chase bank in Laguna Hills was recovered, but the money and thieves are still missing, along with a stolen truck.

Ooooooorrrrr you could make the generally safe assumption that there will not be nearly as many cameras watching the building as with a bank or conveience store. Heaven forbid you use your eyes to look for little black camera bubbles

3 Months ago, they took the whole machine right out of the wall at a drive through ATM at a bank(im assuming using a large truck 5ton or bigger) and then they took it to a empty warehouse and cut it open with plasma cutters. Police found the cut open ATM in the empty warehouse 3 days later.

I would imagine breaking into it on location would be alot harder.
