You can usually find school rankings in Applied Arts or other industry mags, I don't have the figures on hand at work (working for york as a graphic des).
I can't imagine the demand for graphics design to be very great. I suggested to my brother a few years back to not go into it. What do you guys think ?
My best friend just graduated Sci-Arc (Southern California Institute of Architecture) and moved to Columbia University for a Masters in Architecture and Advanced Design, they use some of the best graphics programs out there to complete even the smallest of projects. Check both of those schools out.

The industry has been in a major slump the past few years but is emerging out of it.
Communication arts and research design are two of the newer career paths that are said to be developing into some of the most respected professions. Keep in mind that very few programs teach this right now, most that advertise "graphic design" show you photoshop and send you on your way.
