Just got the same email. They cancelled my order, too. If the
email is honest, then ALL orders that haven't been shipped at this
point are getting a blanket cancellation.
As someone else noted: Dell sucks. This marks the 4th or 5th time
they've done the "your order is going to ship on x/x, no wait
it'll ship on y/y, no wait we're not going to ship it after all"
shuffle with me.
Update: Someone else at work got the same email and was pissed
enough to call Dell (I don't know what he expected to find out but
whatever). Anyway, the woman he spoke with told him that they
had some orders of "thousands of nics" and therefore sold out a lot
more quickly than they'd expected.
I think we need a new private hot deals board ... I suspect that
all these hot deals are getting snaked by lurkers who do this stuff
for a living...
