Desktop drops connection when transferring large files on WLAN

As title says.

The connection is fine when transferring small files and both the desktop and the laptop stay online all day long downlading stuff and general web browsing without any drops in the connection.

The only problems arise when trying to transfer large files (over 200mb). The transfer starts normally, then when about 200mb are reached (was transferring a 700mb file and the progress file stopped at 1/3), the desktop loses the connection. It is just disconnected from the network and i have to wait a minute or so till it reconnects. This happens with all large files not just this one.

The wireless being used on the desktop is the integrated wifi in the motherboard (I have an ASUS P5K-E Wifi-AP motherboard)

I'm having the same problem. It will happen when I transfer large files or large amounts of data. Also when I start up uTorrent, it will hold the connection for a minute or so, then drop it, then pick it up again. I've noticed that it seems to "lose" the IP for the default gateway. Sometimes, I will be unable to repair it and the only way I've found to remedy this situation is to reboot the computer.
