Desktop no longer turning on...

My desktop of about 5 years is no longer turning on (when i say turning on, I mean it acts as if it's not plugged in). It started about a week ago when it would occasionally not turn on when i pressed the power button...but it would always work when i turned it on in the morning after waking up. Any thoughts would be much appreciated...thanks guys!

Lots of information there lol. Probably bad PSU, can check it with a multimeter if you have one, look it up somewhere online.

If I had to hazard a guess based on the little info provided, I'd guess PSU, but it COULD be something else.

mobo: dfi infinity dark
processor: intel e4400

the other three i forgot. i know its not much of a help... but one thing i noticed is that when the psu is unplugged or switched off the network card's red light would turn off. any suggestions would be muh appreciated

ok so I found some more information...
PSU: Antec BP500U
Video Card: EVGA 320-P2-N811-AR GeForce 8800 GTS 320MB 320-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16
Memory: Patriot Extreme Performance 2GB (2 x 1GB) 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400) Dual Channel Kit Desktop Memory Model PDC22G6400LLK

So i started messing around with the jumper settings on my mobo and sometimes I get the mobo led to light up. I turn on the desktop when it does and it goes for a few seconds and shuts down.

If you're "messing around" with the jumper settings, you should probably just take it to a shop or have someone else look at it that has tools and parts.
