Desktop organizer/charging stations.

I've been searching the web for something for the wife. Most everything in this category is so small, less than a foot long. We have a lot of chargers, an ipad, Kindle, dog training collars, dog Fi docks that need to always be plugged in, as well as our phones and rechargeable led flashlights etc.

Our counter is the typical charging thing with a bunch of cords sticking out of it and crap all over the counter. Anyone have any good ideas for one they have found, or even made?

Not something I use, but making an inclined platform out wood would be pretty easy, and look nice. Roughly speaking, make it like a small chalkboard with a chalk ledge on the bottom. The ledge keeps the devices from sliding off. Put the hub and wires under the incline, and drill holes to route the wires to the devices.

You could adapt a cookbook stand for power cord usage. Or just make something similar out of scrap wood. I actually use one of these for cookbooks and for holding my phone if I'm working off a recipe on there.

I made something like that. Looks too tacky to post a picture but it would be easy for someone that cared about such things to make one that looks nicer.

Got a multiport charger that looks similar to this, but in black:

No wall warts, just one AC cord. Ports are all basic USB, but mine has one USB C port. Screen shows which ports are actively charging and how much wattage. There are all sorts of variations including vertical styles:




Something like this might be an option for some people:

If you have that many, maybe you could rig something up on a wall somewhere instead of using counter space.
