I'm having serious doubts about dealing with this company at all.
According to
ResellerRatings, they had an excellent rating once, but their 6-month rating is 2/10, and the reviews from six months before that are even worse than the ones from the last 6 months.
It's been a year since they responded to any negative review (11/14/05), and oddly both the volume and character of reviews also abruptly changed on exactly that date. It's almost as if the old site closed and someone else took over the domain -- but even that wouldn't yield such a sharp cutoff. There would still be good reports from Christmas sales rolling in. Was there was some sort of policy change on ResellerRatings on Nov 14, '05?
Based on the reports of the condition of the used items they shipped as "new", I wouldn't know what to expect from an item that they're selling for $0.01 Water and smoke damage? Rotten plastic? Even a lot of long-obsolete clearanced parts, like Socket 7 fans (Pentium 1) which normally cost less than speakers, are selling for a dollars, not pennies. It sounds to me like a situation where they want to make a little profit on inflated S/H, knowing that almost no one will return (or complain too much about) $0.01 speakers.
I'd love to be wrong. I did find a lot of inexpensive items on that site that have been on my "parts" list for a while, but I'm concerned that an order with dozens of sub-$10 and sub-$5 items would be virtually begging for *something* (probably many somethings) to be skipped, ignored, "wrong item sent", etc. A bad bargain is no bargain.
If you've done business with them lately, or if ResellerRatings isn't reliable anymore, I'd love to hear about it.
