if you select the non-digital preorder on Bungie website the artbox (most likely just a placeholder) states that it's a digital download only... which makes sense seeing as though it requires battle net to play. so, basically you'd wait on a physical box with no disk.
i stopped buying physical copies of PC games years ago but I do prefer them for consoles. I sort of forgot that there was exclusive PS4 stuff though, opps.
At least in destiny 1 there was a decent amount of single player PVE, but most of the late game content relied on co-op PVE and PVE raids. While you could probably grind away at the solo stuff for awhile, the true high level loot will be named drops from raids and similar end game content that will require a group generally.i think the last FPS i played was crysis 3 or borderlands 2? definitely prefer single player/PVE over PVP. any idea if i'd like destiny?
This is my feeling, the 'hop from orbit (menu) to strike point (prepopulated instanced content with waves of garbage AI to fight)' then it's really got nothing compelling to it. If it's actually got some kind of open world, public quest/questing in general, actual content to chew on, then I'll probably be in.If it is going to be A-B gameplay then I'll skip.
Yeah, apparently they left in auto aim if you plug in a controller, and some people have managed to get it turned on for mouse and keyboard as well, so hopefully that gets removed before final release as well. If you want to use a controller, play on console. Auto aim has no place on mouse and keyboard.the PC beta has changes in it that were made from the console beta. weapon damage changes (less spongieness) super/special charge rates and a few other things. more will prob change in the retail version as well
That might explain some of the 30-kill streaks with basically zero misses I was witnessing in the pvp last night. Not saying anyone better than me has to be 'a hacker' but in two matches, one person was making what should have been very, very difficult shots far more consistently than one would expect. Gave it a few hours this evening, 6700k, 1080, stayed between 100-120FPS pretty much the whole time.
Game is fun, I'm curious how the single player aspect will be post-release. I enjoyed the intro part more than the strike really, less repetitive.
So, sounds more like instancy? Like 'teleport to Argus and run around there before teleporting back to 'Orbit' (menu screen)'?its not totally clear how they are doing the worlds yet. each "planet" is its own instance so you cant travel between them without something in between but once at a location the full planet should be avail to you
they have said they have added more open world elements to it but wont know for sure until its out. which is Tuesday for consoles
You didn't miss much @Fenixgoon It had no open world to play around in and was just a A to B mission. It's because of the beta that I am on the fence. I felt very restricted.
