I think his point (which I share) is that we don't really know what the end game will look like. We got one 30-minute single-player run with like, one point where you might see another player, then a single 3-man strike and a pvp map. Based on that alone I don't wanna buy it. I might wanna buy it if the rest is fun, but I didn't get to demo/beta test the rest of it, so I'm kinda up in the air on that.

I don't think i did. We all know the game has a somewhat open world in it and that there will be a lot to do compared to the open beta. I just meant the open beta itself was not really anything to miss. They provided a very small taste of what is to come. What they should have done is provide a bit of everything for those willing to push through further. This beta felt restricting to me and didn't get me excited for more. The only thing I came away with is I think it looks very good and it without a doubt runs very well. Not sure how my statement was contradicting though.

I personally didn't mind the amount, or lack thereof, playable content because I'd rather explore the game when it's closer to finished. I think that's probably why it wasn't advertised as a "demo" since the game is not 100% ready for PC just yet.

Right now, I'm totally torn between waiting for PC or grabbing the PS4 version next week for the exclusive content.

I read somewhere it will support SLI, but not sure about CFX. The Beta is gone! Which is too bad, as I was hoping it would be extended far longer.

I am definitely telling all my Xbox friends goodbye for good as Destiny 1 will be the last title I play on Xbox. No more 30 FPS for me

They are willing to play at 30 fps to avoid spoilers but I am not exactly invested in the Destiny lore and storyline to be honest... I care more about the gameplay and just enjoying the game the way it was intended.... far above 30 FPS!

I played the 99% of the beta at 4k60 on a single 1070 at nearly max settings at a locked 60fps! The only need for SLI is 8k60 and 4k144hz. The major problem with this game is the CPU bottleneck at high refresh rates. Past 120 FPS, the CPU becomes the major bottleneck and CPU clockspeed, and tight RAM timings are the major limiting factors.

This is frustrating as I really want to play this game at a locked 4k144hz next year around this time. I may just stick with 60hz if no CPU can maintain 120 FPS during the raids or strikes which is where all the AI will slow down the game.

Thought the game looked great and ran very well on my somewhat dated computer. I get why they wouldn't make a completely new demo just for the PC, but the demo seemed to expect that you had some knowledge of the prior game. Like I never did figure out what those orbs of light were supposed to be or how you generated them.

I didn't enjoy the PvP. I think a game like this needs more than 4 vs 4. The co-op was fun though and the guns handled well. It is too bad they didn't drop more loot. I'm also a tad worried that only three classes is a bit limiting.

Like I never did figure out what those orbs of light were supposed to be or how you generated them.

Your super ability (F key binding I believe) can be charged more quickly with orbs of light, and you can generate orbs of light by killing enemies with your super attack. If you do it correctly the 2 others in your group should be rotating their supers so there is more or less a consistent flow of super attacks going off and generating the orbs to recharge the other's, over and over.

Played a bit. Felt like Destiny just smoother on PC. My main complaint was how shallow the first was, so if they fix that, I'm I for this one.

At it's most basic yes, going by that it would also be similar to The Division. Destiny 1 was more like Halo with loot. I know I'm getting pretty vague here but Borderlands is more an FPS w/ rpg elements while Destiny was more FPS + MMO lite.

If you like shooting things in a sci-fi setting and getting loot you'll probably like destiny.

I bought Destiny 1 incredibly late into its life, around Dec 2016. It was on sale for $25ish for the whole package when I bought my ps4 pro. I had enough fun with it just from the solo pve content, game was pretty dead outside of pvp by that point. I remember following the original and really wanting it to come to pc. An FPS with MMO and RPG elements belongs on the pc.

As for the battle.net, that's Activision being the publisher. It's ultimately a good thing, the major complaint of Destiny 1 was a near complete lack of social tools. Battle.net corrects that on PC without Bungie having to do a lot of the work.

Are people really still upset over realID after all these years. It requires no different info than steam/uplay/origin and functions far better than say the combo of CoD+Steam or BF1+Origin... OMG it's not steam so the world must burn.

Tell me where to turn it off in destiny 2 or in bnet account options that doesnt wipe my current list. And I'm upset still about realID because it still shows my account name to some people added back in the days when you couldn't turn that off easily.
