So after playing a Titan all the way and only experimenting with Hunter and Warlock at low level, I'm not dead set on my main.

I know some of you here have played all 3 classes so could you go over the pros and cons as you see them. I like being able to take more damage, but the shield recharge is slow, and how I seem to play by using cover more often and popping out for precise aimed shots, I wonder if Titan is really the right class for me. I'm probably going to pick one and that will be my guy for the entirety of the game because of the gear hunting.

Found this too. Sorry for wall of text. Also note that some of the events are 10levels above the supposed level cap of the game. Hard is not the right word I think, judging on how tough some enemies already can be.

Reddit user KingOfCarrotFlowers put together a list of all the maps and missions that have been discovered thus far and featured on DestinyDB after being data mined from the beta and companion app.

That's a lengthy list of missions. I didn't play today but I'll be able to jump in at launch. I'm also unsure of which character to choose.

I definately don't like Hunter. Titan is decent and the powerup blast gets stronger. Warlock has a cool melee too as well as a nice strike. But warlock takes less damage although he heals quicker.

I may just stick with titan for my play through.

I've only played as a Hunter in the Alpha and Beta. What am I missing with the other options?

Each class has different upgrade abilities for its main and subclass. That and I'm not sure if they have any special weapon perks.

I know for sure that the titan is more of a tank character so he takes more damage, starts off with a weak melee that soon becomes powerful with the upgrade. The waelock takes less damage and has a more powwerful melee and super strike than the titan.

I only played as hunter, but it seemed pretty decent. I'm uncertain what really distinguishes it from titan, damage taking ability? Only issue with hunter, and this may upgrade later, was the super ability didn't last long enough for me to effectively use it.

I didn't get to spend a lot of time, but managed to get I think just briefly to lvl6 and tried a couple PvP matches. The mars one gave me real trouble, but also going against players 3 levels higher wasn't helping much. I'm not just quick enough with a controller to be competitive there, but I'd love to try it in ps4.

There are other subclasses for the main classes we didn't see yet. Someone on another forum was talking about titan getting a shoulder strike when sprinting and a jumping knee strike. Hunter will get blade dancer which is more melee focused and warlock gets a support subclass where you can heal and revive allies as well as boost their abilities. Someone also mentioned a subclass for warlock that uses fire instead of void energy.

I spent some time last night watching play through videos with each class and I think I want to try warlock. I do fairly well at avoiding damage most of the time using cover mechanics and popping out for aimed shots. Their glide also seems useful, you can control your descent a little bit. Think I'll give that a go at launch. I have a feeling there will be a lot of titans in the game already due to their resemblence of a spartain from halo and people being used to playing shooters as a damage sponge. I also have a feeling that a support class could be pretty valuable for certain tougher missions.

Still, not having played all 3 I would like if someone could do a quick rundown of each one's pros and con's.

Yea the warlock was easy for me in the alpha. Would be cool if you can use fire strikes instead of energy. It would also be neat if you could also have other abilities besides healing others, like a way to heal yourself rapidly.

I called a buddy of mine Saturday morning and had him dig his xbox 360 out of storage so we could check this beta out. I am sorta wishing I had not because I loved the game >.< I am so tempted to purchase a PS4 to play this game. I don't currently have a console or even a TV, but I am thinking about running through my dell ultrasharp with HDMI > DVI adapter.

I'll be playing Hunter for sure Can't wait to try the melee subclass, with invisibility and chain lightning from the knife The double jump from a hunter is way way more mobility than the glide or lift from the other two classes. A third jump will be sick Also, I like the Golden Gun ability in the first subclass, it allows me to calmly pick the targets I want (3 shots on a decent timer), instead of rushing in (titan) or all or nothing (warlock).

I hate that golden gun. If it wasn't on a timer and you just had three shots it would be better off. But I hear you can upgrade it to do multiple damage. I'm not sure I liked the warlock glide ability. I always missed my target trying to reach a certain ledge or barely overshot it.

The upgraded warlock super strike does a lot of damage and is pretty well covered. I would say more than the titan. It would be cool to customize a character based on one asset from the other classes.

Man, some of those games I played yesterday were brutal. Went 40-2 in one game. I don't think people understand the value of information control in terms of the radar.

A very sticky auto aim system also helps.

SO much this. People online never seemed to use their radar, whereas I never took my eyes off of it. I went several rounds with 15-25+ kills. Honestly the multiplayer overall felt pretty easy. I am sure that will change with the full release though as more people get practice.

I think its because of the size and makeup of the maps. There are very few legitamite routes to take to get from point to point.

The very second you see the red outline from the radar, I'm already 99% sure I know exactly where they are coming from and wait for them to pop up.

yup, venus was probably the worst, just pull out the shotgun because 2/3rds of the map are close quarters where you can just wait behind corners or something and watch your radar. 1 good shotgun blast = a kill. And my shotgun automatically gets another round directly into the chamber every time I get a kill. Makes it very easy to rack up kills on that map, and since it gets more ammo with each kill you don't have to worry about finding green ammo drops.

I'm not a huge fan of the Crucible. It just feels kind of off to me. Maybe it's because gunplay is tailored more towards PvE and doesn't fit well with how fast paced the PvP is trying to be. I'm not saying I won't play it as I want to get as much gear in the game as I can but it just doesn't feel solid or smooth to me. Maybe they will tweak it for full release and there's always patches so they can always fix it later.

Plus like said above, shotguns pretty much own so they definitely need to tweak that.

The crucible maps are pretty small to be action packed. At least only the domination ones. And iron banner is tougher than normal crucible. I'll still play it since its fun using all your abilities.

One thing I really want is an in-game map. I want to see where I am in the world and where I want to go. Something like assasins creed but no fast travel. A lot of times in the beta I ran off the map and died because I had no Idea I could not go that way. Plus it would help me explore because without it I usually don't know where I'm going.

That would definitely help especially in explore mode. I can't see it being too hard to implement, but then again I'm no programmer. Maybe in the final release?

Keys to warlock void walker that may make this my main.

Life Steal - Killing an enemy with Energy Drain immediately restores a significant portion of your health.

Bloom - Enemies killed by any of your abilities explode.

Shatter - Nova Bomb splits into three projectiles.

Blink - A short distance teleport which replaces Glide

Axion Bolt - A bolt of Void Light which forks into smaller bolts on impact which seek toward enemies.

Are these all part of the Warlock build? They sound promising.
