actually it's a legit strategy now, I have a friend who did it for 3 hours the other night and got 1 legendary and 1 exotic by doing it. All he had to do was run around so you dont get autobooted. Maybe get a kill here or there.
Sorry, but the notion that there's a large number of players joining PvP to just sit there without even trying is nonsense.

People would complain that random groups ruin their run. Especially on nightfall strikes where if you all die, you go to orbit. No checkpoint.
For the record, any time a developer makes a decision for their game that you don't like it doesn't mean they messed up. Things like that aren't by accident.
If they let randoms party up for everything you'd be here crying about how random people suck and ruin your strike or raid and they go off and do their own thing trying to get credit. This already happens sometimes in strikes as it is. It would be tons worse when you're doing special missions that are harder.
The voice chat thing can be changed, but then it would probably end up like every other game out there where random people mute everyone except friends.

Guess you haven't played MLB the show 14 for PS4. 80+ second loads are normal there on stock HDD.
Two comments on that:
1. Yeah, The Show might take 80 seconds to load, but the games last 30-45 minutes, no? At least, that was the case with the MLB 2K franchise on 360, I think I'd be around 45 minutes to complete a game. 80 seconds for 45 minutes of play is annoying, but 40 seconds for 20 minutes is just absurd, especially since that then means another loading screen upon exit and another to get to the next mission (after leaving the main hub, if necessary).
2. Was SATA III and a 7200-RPM drive REALLY so much more expensive?

I go through loading screens every 45-60 mins in destiny as well. I plan out what I am doing so I dont hit loading screens all the time, anyone who spends 20 mins and hits another loading screen either isn't planning out what they are doing at all, or they needlessly go to the tower after every other engram drop.

If you say so...I've seen people with 70 deaths and 2 kills walk away with exotic weapons. That is not OK and nothing you try to say will make it seem like it is a good system.
So what if you hit your cap quicker if they reward more marks for doing well. They are probably gonna buy gear with it anyway. That's the whole point of the game right now, better gear to do new and harder events. There is a whole group of people swearing off crucible because trying to win isn't rewarded any more than the guy who just shows up.

Also, no he has a Vita and a PS4. He gets on PVP on his Vita using remote play while watching TV or doing other shit. No need to sit in front of your tv for hours to do it. Just have your vita with you while you do whatever you want for the evening, you just need to move around a bit to make sure you aren't kicked.

It makes sense to give the worst person the best gear. Think about it. The other players are obviously doing just fine with their gear, right? Why not use better gear to get the lacking players better?
Because you can obviously take advantage of that by doing shitty on purpose like a lot of people have already started doing.

What we are pointing out now is a legitimate issue with the game's loot system. This is far more serious than no mic with randoms. Keep defending a system that makes no sense. The guys doing better should have a higher percentage of chance to roll a legendary. I don't see how you can argue against that really.And? People take advantage of the best farming methods in every loot based game to date. You think people don't farm the easiest, most mob dense areas in Diablo 3?
You are crying because on a few occasions that "scrub" who did bad got more loot than you, an obvious elite professional Destiny player! You are entitled, due to your superior performance, to that loot!

Level your subclass. Its really the only advantage you get besides a weapon that shoots faster or something....doing better? I tried a crucible match ONCE. I was a level 8. I was matched against people twice my level. I was lucky to get their shield down. The PVP setup in Destiny is beyond broken.

The loot your receive has zero bearing on the PVP itself. If they are stopping playing because of that, they are stupid. The afk farming in PVP is a problem, but nerfing the loot isn't going to change that. Adding, perhaps, a vote kick option would fix it. Or, maybe adding an additional "performance" chance for loot would entice players to actually try.
Actually verified this while football was on yesterday. Just moved the sticks occasionally on my Vita and watched my alt level up without firing a single round. Got destroyed when the area was invaded, but that was over quickly and I was back to standing around. Feels cheap when others like cmdrdredd put in serious time and I can get to level 24 without doing a single strike since my first rare.
Unless you are doing the road to the show. Then you get to play 5-10 min and still wait for loading in between everything else. I don't see why the loading bothers so many about Destiny. I do things my own way and only ever go to new planets or the tower once per session. I go to the tower before I sign out usually. Unless I'm constantly picking up engrams but that's rare for me.

You're assuming that everyone has the same interests in game completion. You might be doing side quests others don't care for, or doing extra loot hunting others already finished.
