Anybody use Det 11 drivers? How are they?

Now skipping that part. Seriously anyone tried them yet?

11.00 drivers

I went from 6.31 to 11.00 today:

3dmark2001 (default 1024*768/32):
6.31 2807
11.00 2973

Q3 (demo001 1024*768/32, max everything):
6.31 80.6 fps
11.00 86.6 fps


I had been stuck using the 6.31 dets because of the standby mode problems with all the >6.31 drivers. So far so good on the standby problem with these. I don't overclock my video card.

The Detonator 11.xx drivers are absolutely great.I, for one, haven't been able to use any Det 6.xx drivers..the pc would just hang when running any D3D/DDraw application..OpenGL was OK, but Direct3D never worked.I asked many many MANY times about this, and got many replies, but none of the solutions worked.

I got back to my old 5.45 drivers, which were glitchy but as fast as the 6.xx drivers nonetheless.

The 11.xx drivers, though, are a different story.Faster than the old 5.45 driver (which performed more or less like a 6.xx driver), bugless (yet), and doesn't hang my pc!


the 11.xx driver is my new friend.

Can't run Vampire the masquerade on the 11.00 or 10.80 drivers. Outdoor scenes don't render correctly (indoor scenes do). Problem is non existant with 6.47

Det 11.00's running fine for me, up-ed 3dmark 2k1 scores ~300 marks...

I tried them last night and I found they were slower than the 6.72 drivers and they didn't fix my corrupted Start Menu problem.

Is there ANY problems people are having with 6.47?
I haven't seen any using them since they first came out.
Haven't upgraded(?) since all works great, and it seems someone usually complains about something not being right with newer versions.

BFG10K, are sure it`s the drivers?I`ve never had any problem like that with any of the Nvidia drivers.Btw I`m using 6.50 drivers which are 100% fine.

Yes, I have to agree 6.47 are far and away the best detonators all round at the moment. I've gone back to them again.

I&quot;ve skipped everything between 6.47 and 10.80, but 10.80 then 11.00 got some positive feedback so thought I'd investigate.

My opinion is they aren't ready for primetime just yet.

For anyone else suffering the Vampire problem, edit the game shortcut to include -nofog on the target line.

Put it this way: when I uninstall nVidia's drivers the problem goes away.

using Win2k 6.50 here, i'm thinking about going to Det 11, but as my current system hasn't complained since i set it up over a month ago, I see no reason to change...

Anyway, I'm still waiting to try these out(Win2K). I was expecting them to be leaked by now, rather disappointed that they haven't surfaced yet

Gave the 11.00's a try. Improved my 3dmark 2001 scores by ~250 points; however, 2000 scores went down about 150. Perhaps they were designed solely to increase 2001 scores and make Nvidia performance look superior.

Have played multiple games using them, no problems so far.
