I've heard from a reliable source that nVidia has started to digitally sign the beta drivers they release to developers in an attempt to stop the leaks. If one of the developers does leak the driver, nVidia will be able to tell who leaked it and penalize them. Anyhow, this will serously cut down on driver leaks, so get used to the official drivers boys and girls

The 27.42's are that latest leaked drivers.

I haven't had anyone problems with these or any other 27.xx drivers, but I like these better because the nvdia desktop explorer is finally gone with this release. I uninstalled the 27.50 before installing these new drivers, and I manually installed it, rather than use the setup.

so is this driver solve the refresh rate problem ? If not how are we going to fix that problem ? refreshrate fix cannot be use in 27.xx driver .

Does this latest version of the drivers fix the problems with monitors not going into power saving mode? I haven't been able to to get any of the 23.xx series to work.

you can use powerstrip to force refresh rates in games, or i think you can modify the .inf before intallation and fix it that way. dunno exactly how to do it though

The 9X/ME drivers didn't want to install on my GF2Ti. Had to hack the .ini file to get them loaded, seems like the only hardware info in this .ini is for GF3's & GF4's. Haven't run any benchmarks, but nothing seems to be broken so far.

60HZ refresh fix
just go into windows/inf file and find the .inf for your monitor, open it in wordpad, scroll down till you find
your specific monitor (these files have all "this brand" monitors for a certain time period), change the
min Vrefresh from 50 to 75 or 85 or whatever. (30-96 is Hrefresh - autoset)

example:
(uninstall old detonators first)

Before :

After :

Dear Mr. Gonads:

Ya, this is first time I had to use the videocard CD with specific card .inf file to load drivers. Until now detonators
just detected and loaded generic type .inf. And this was with GF3Ti200 (evga). This because I remove card
itself from dev man to do my update then run detonator destroyer to get rid of remnants. Appears that the
new drivers want to SEE an .inf for your card BEFORE installing, not during.
