That doesn't take as much concentration as holding a phone up to your ear. Similar to talking to a passenger in the car.

I don't know about you, but holding a phone up to my ear doesn't take a lot of concentration. Holding a phone up to your ear is dangerous because that leaves you with only one hand to steer. But I think any sort of conversation increases your chances of crashing probably pretty equally.

This will probably make the roads safer. And I don't care too much about cell phone bans because I use a headset. But while Detroit is at it, why don't they ban speakers over a certain wattage in cars, or just ban car speakers period. Loud music destracts drivers which causes accidents!
