The reason for the delay has to do with the discovery of an area in the game that Square Enix determined shows expressions forbidden by the Japanese games ratings board. The company determined that fixing this area would take additional time.

The 10mm pistol with silencer is all you need to kill pretty much... everything.[/B]

Thanks to the stupid AI & early-available silencer, you can sneak behind everyone and headshot them all. You don't even need to look down the barrel once you get the laser sight. This completely renders all sniper rifles useless. It's a shame. This pistol is also known for its unique armor-piercing upgrade. Yup, this puny pistol also raped the ARMORED TANK BOT. It just took about 20-25 shots.

Ya, I used the pistol the first time around as a back-up (cool factor) and it was OP. After I knocked people unconscious using CQC, I executed all mercs/PMCs with the pistol and combat rifle. The latter took multiple shots to the head (helmet and dermal armor), while the pistol rarely failed.

I ditched the pistol and am using the submachinegun as my primary weapon. Hardest difficulty gets annoying because nothing is highlighted anymore. I was spoiled.

What's not highlighted? I'm playing hardest and interactive objects are still glowing/highlighted.

What the eff... I did not know that. THANK YOU. More of an annoyance than a challenge. I started mashing "e" in the sewers to make sure I got all the breakable walls.

There are no cops inside the building and if you're lucky you get the cut-scene with the short tap on the shoulder followed by a full throttle punch and the bitch goes South

I just landed in Montreal, and I have to say, the city looks like shit. It's a freakin 2D background!! Reminds me of the way environments were done in HL1/CS

Finished the game. Game of the Year for me. Outstanding game and the best RPG in years. It's almost as good as the original. I really mean that.

This is a good year for role playing games. The Witcher 2, this game, and hopefully Skyrim kicks ass too.

really? I didn't have the same problem, but I didn't use anything but a revolver and running around a wall to beat that boss.

I made the mistake of not visiting any vendors until quite late in the game. I dont know why.

You can get a silencer elsewhere in the game, besides a vendor, but from what I've seen, a vendor is just the fastest way.

yes, this means I missed out on some decent upgrades, although I was lucky enough to get the explosive revolver upgrade and the pistol armor piercing upgrade.

Gotta agree - silenced pistol with armor piercing mod plus cloak is godly.

It's not a secret. I believe it's readily available by dealers (in gas station or the apt dealer perhaps).

If they don't have it. Look around. I probably found it inside locked doors or garages.

I got it early as within first 2-3 hours.

I'm probably playing slower than most people because I explore every possible route and nook and cranny of the cities. I've already basically maxed out the hacking augs and almost the arm and leg augs. The "fall from any height" aug saves me a bunch of time, since I can just jump off of roofs instead of finding a path.

6 hours and ALREADY in China? I put in about 15 hours and just landed in China.

I'm super OCD, _I_ have to find all the nooks and crannies, and make it point to kill everyone in my missions. So there's not one punk alive in gang area or FEMA facility.

Is the grenade launcher just from the pre-orders package? Or can it be found somewhere else? Googling now...

I got the other pre-order package with $10k credits (nice start bump, but not much overall) and the silenced sniper rifle, which can be found multiple times later in the game.

Killing does not necessarily mean giving up the ghost bonus. You can headshot an entire area and as long as it doesnt' go hostile (which it won't unless someone sees you do the kill) you can still get ghost.

Although the true XP whore path is to use stealth to do non-lethal takedowns on every npc. You get the xp bonuses and 50 xp per NPC. Not sure this is possible but it is (in theory) possible to do it if you take a few out with the tranq rifle first.

I just reached China on the hardest difficulty with all stealth. Not a single killed enemy or alarm has gone off so far. I've had to simply bypass certain areas, and leave many enemies alive, but I'm finding it pretty easy.

I only have the stun gun, and want the tranq rifle to try it out in certain circumstances. The 1 battery bar thing is quite annoying, since the only way to fill it is with items, and I'm saving those up for the invisible boss fight (constant cloak is the only way I've been able to beat that boss).

I did that my first time around. It was "boring" because I had an inventory full of upgraded guns I was barely using. Even worse, I knocked them out, then headshotted them.

The other "whoring" path is to hack everything and capture all the nodes for the experience bonuses. I'm doing it my second time around, especially because I'm using my guns and only getting 10-30xp (marksman bonus) per takedown rather than the 50.

The energy system is definitely a rip off. I got a bit pissed when I got an extra energy cell, then realized that everything past 1 didn't recharge. Would have been nice to have a quick recharge of the first cell, then a slower recharge of the other cells. There are enough energy recharge resources like energy bars and packs around though.

By the way, which "hard" boss is everyone talking about?

Too many upgrades and guns to not go around guns blazing. My inventory gets stacked with ammo if I don't shoot it off. This is while I'm selling all the guns/ammo that I don't use including shotgun, sub machine gun, tranq, stun, peps, sniper, and rocket. Stealth is fun and all but after a while I just really wanted to shoot things.
