FUCK.

One of the achievements is bugged.

The achievement for finishing the game without killing anyone (Pacifist) won't be awarded.

THREE friends and I have all done it and none of us have gotten the achievement so one of us went online and found that it's fucked.

Goddammit.

Did you let the hostages die in the beginning?

As good as this game is I am getting a bit bored of it. I seem to remember I went through the same thing with the original Deus Ex and even System Shock 2 right towards the end.

The game has absolutely zero consequence.

I killed _EVERYONE_ in Detroit.

Yes, everyone. Not a soul alive.

I eradicated both mobs off the face of the earth. The police station is a graveyard, as with all the patrols outside too.

Genocide all the punks, innocent bystanders, & even quest NPCs. Good bye Megan's mom, janitors, & civilians.

All this without a single consequence. The main quests went on, not one character surprised (the ones you can't kill inside Sarif building).

Damn, maybe I'll give it another shot, that sounds like some fun. I remember someone doing that in Morrowind, he killed everyone except certain characters that keep respawning... always wanted to do that.

I was actually in the Police station when I quit playing, about 4 hours into the game. I ran in the door when they told me to stop I shot the first cop, when everyone started shooting me I just went into the bathroom and waiting till they all calmed down. Very boring.

I never had that problem with system shock II. I remember just before the final boss I ran right through the entire ship, hacking every safe to get as many lock picks I could, I spent hours preparing for that last battle. But I had fun, I must have, I played about 80 hours of it in a 7 day period. I quit playing Human Revolution after 4 hours.

I also got bored about 8 hours into the game, but I forced myself to go back. It gets better and picks up the pace later on.

I won't say I got bored with the game, but on the last level I was so tempted to just run and gun to get to the end already. And seeing how they kinda sorta coped out on the endings and your choices during the game didn't really have any overall consequence (aside from some localized events), I don't feel any desire to replay the game. I still enjoyed it plenty, but aside from a few odds and ends I saw and did everything on one playthrough.

No. I saved the lady hostage too and even saved the hostage taker's life.

Do the yahoo's at the beginning count as kills? When the lab is first attacked that is, there are 6-7 guys that I had to kill to be able to go forward. Takedown seems not to work, I haven't tried sneaking past them.

Yes. The enemies in the opening "tutorial" before you get augmented count towards the pacifist achievement. And you can't do any non-lethal takedowns until you get your augs. So the only way to get pacifist is to sneak by all the enemies in the beginning.

bought it last night because I'm bored and so far I like it. I'm only in the part where Zeke Sanders takes over the lab and they Sarif flies you in though.

this should not shock amnyone that people go after acheivements

Is playing "just for fun" that much better a reason.

Not having as much fun shooting my way everywhere this time around. Takes a lot less planning and thinking, but at least all the toys in my inventory get some exercise.

I loved the game until the end. That's when I realized nothing I did mattered or changed anything in the game. I was hoping for a fallout type ending, but I got a choose your own adventure.

The ending felt rushed to me,I was disappointed with the ending.
It was shorter then I expected and thats with me taking my time on every area.

Overall good game but not an epic ,however worth the money I paid .

DE 3 *fails* as a sequel to the original. AI is arguably worse and there are no consequences for your actions whatsoever. It's very short and the endings were painful beyond belief.
--i asked the computer to destroy itself after giving me a 30 minute countdown.

However, it's pretty good as a follow-up to Invisible War.

You're gonna play the entire game again just to get some stupid steam achievement?

Why not? I played the 2nd time through on the hardest difficulty going for the pacifist achievement (and the no-alarms achievement).

Games are meant to be played more than once.

Ya, with three progressively more difficult boss fights, I was expecting something uber at the end. :\

Second to last boss fight can be won without taking any damage if you have a stun gun and 12-15 shots.

Just equip the stun gun after loading the save before the cut scene, when he's kicking the gun up to himself, sprint at him and circle/stun him. Takes about 12-15 shots(I lost count) but you can cheese him so easily with this.

Stunlock FTW - he can't do squat.

I'm going to try stealth this time around, my previous two runs were a mix of lethal/non lethal, depending how much bored I got.
