Dewalt 12" Miter Saw model 705s for $197 at Home Depot

I was in store today and noticed they are clearing out the older versions for Dewalt miter saws. They had the 705s for $197. They also had the sliding compound miter saw for about $300 but I can't remember the model number. These were in store only.

$300 for a sliding miter is cheap especially dewalt. My 10" dewalt was something like $280.00

DOHH NO HOME DEPOT BY ME ((((((((((. Damm i wish the elchepo sliders are $200..but this a dewalt.

The only sliding compound saw DeWalt makes is the DW708, if you can get that for $300 do it, it's the best one out there! That's basically half off retail, and the cheapest I've ever seen it for is $500.

I saw the regular non-sliding one at the Home Depot in Rockford IL. for that same 197. That is a good deal too.

Hey I have a DW708. That is a nice piece of gear.

Used it to make all new baseboards in the house. Nice 5 inch boards.

i saw a 15 amp one in the last weeks home deeps ad for 200.

also there was a refurb 20 amp one at the zon for about 145 too.. lots of refurb dewalt stuff there too for about half price.

Are there any other advantages besides being able to cut wider material with a sliding saw?
