Good points. Will be interesting how he squirms out of it for sure but Dexter's writers surprise me each and everytime - that's what's makes show so good.

The kid was attempted, that is all the cops will care about. For all they know, Artur could have assumed he was dead and moved on to target #2.

Avoiding Arthur's family will be easy, it is Dexter. All they know is Kyle Butler and Dexter's DNA will be all over because of the fact that he was there for crime scene work. Dead Kyle is irrelevent.

They have no way to link him to Kyle. Dexter may give Arthur's family the money in person but that would be the last time they ever see him. Or, he could drop it off somewhere.

Remember, he had a disposeable phone for talking with Arthur and his family.
