Well the protein change has taken place. Hope that it went smoothly for everyone. I reminded TallBill (bob970) to update his mirror, so I expect he's done that. The new protien is looking to be much slower than the previous one, most likely it is more compact causing more collisions.

Daily Production: Pretty solid numbers... 32.3M folds for the day is pretty good. It puts us into 4th as Overclockers Australia surprise with 36.7M folds for 3rd. Still, top notch stuff, everyone!

Hey I'm working on getting my stats up, have 3 rigs right now, and should have a 4th by the end of the month. Hopefully I will be able to contribute more, as I have access to 2 machines at work now.

ouch, didn't make POD today. How many did i produce? I know i have one down system (it'll be back up in about 20 minutes) but i might have another couple of down systems if i didn't make a million.

Doh! Just did a quick check of one of my home clients this morning and found it had a ton of results all piled up. How many I dunno but there were 440 files in the distribfold directory. Tried restarts with and without the proxy.cfg file and they still didn't upload. Looks like they're toast anyway because they're all on the old protein. I'll have to check my other home clients and monitor them much closer in the future.

it will keep "working" , it will cache the work until the server is available to send the work up

I wished it would. I stopped the client last night and now when I want to restart it, it gives me a message that the server is down and to try again later. It then shuts down and will not start up.

EDIT: Looks like the server is back up. Crunching again.

for future reference, if the server is down, to get it to restart, there are a couple of ways to do it

switch to non-net/no internet access mode, by using the -if switch or through dfGUI disable internet access

or

just unplug your box from the network (i am not sure if you are using a modem if you can just not dial up, i dunno)

There was an electrical fire in the hospital last night (not caused by us ), forcing a full power shut down. All servers should be operational again

Oops... protein chainge was not as smooth as I'd anticipated. I think that either:
1) Dyyryath's is reporting weird things
2) I've lost a half the CPUs on my duallies again.

On the plus side, I now have 2.56 GB of PC133 to go around installing DF with... and unlike last time, I have it in my hot little hands. With statc protection, of course.

I had expected to start watching for tickets yesterday at 1500 (EST) following the protien change.

However, I don't want to fiddle with trying to smooth the data from all those hours of a downed server,

so I will begin watching for tickets as of the 1500 (EST) today. That means the earliest anyone could get

a ticket would be 1500 (EST) tomorrow.
