Hello out there,

Well, DF Daily's been silent for a couple of days (with no prior anouncement). I'm on vacation for a few weeks, and DF Daily'll still be coming out daily. Just had a lot of last minute stuff come up which was a hassle to take care of and still make my flight, so I didn't have time to jot out a quick post about possible delays for the daily.

In any case, I've taken some time today to catch up with things on the TeAm DF side, and boy did I get a surprise. There had been a protein change, and I had been in 2nd place for best pseudo-energy! Woot!

When I took a look I was currently in 4th, and Kris at that time was in 8th! That's right two TeAm members in the top 10!

Since then (in the last few hours) I've slid down into 7th, and Kris has been bumped out of the top 10. Still, it looks like we're starting to get members into the top 10 on a semi-regular basis. Way to go, everyone!

Ok, milestone catch-up time (today's + yesterday's + day before yesterday's). If I miss anyone out, I'm sorry and here's a :Q which can be divided up between you, as a consolation. <G>:

TA TheMagicman has made 25M and 30M (!) folds!!

Kris has made 5M folds!
SlangNRox has made 4M folds!
nexus9 has made 3M folds!
dex has made 3M folds!
cbcrus has made 500K and 1M folds!
Poritz has made 1M folds!
mk has made 500K folds!
bfour has made 200K folds!

It would have been nice if Robor could have broken 20M, and if I could have broken 10M in time for this Daily, but we're still a wee way's off, so those should be coming in tomorrow Daily.

Great stuff, everyone, and congratulations to all our milestone makers!

Top Folder: TA TheMagicman with his magical 30M! Awesome!
Best-Pseudo Energy: Well, you haven't been paying attention if you don't know it's me! 51.96 good for 7th overall (pats self on the back!)
Best Production: This is for today, since I'm not really equipped to calculate over the last 3 days. TA TheMagicman with 2.57M takes it (good for about 19th)!

TeAm stuff:

Well, at least I didn't miss anything major, though there was a false alarm about moving up a spot (due to an error similar to Y2K, we'll call it Int32).

Currently, TeAm DF is in 23rd place, and under 5M away from 22nd! At current production, that'll take us about 1 day to pass 'em. And another day'll be good enough for 21st. So, if you like to write congrat threads, it'd be a good time to start watching the stats every once in a while.

Daily Production: TeAm DF is in 12th! Good to see that we're doing a pretty good job maintaining position. 11th place is only 340K which we can definitely do. Just a few old computers out of the parts bin could give us that.

Finally, I'd like to a moment to thank sean2002 for sticking with the TeAm, even after a fight (?) with a mod and being banned from posting. I think that I speak for all TeAm DF members when I say that I hope it isn't permanent and that you'll be back posting with us soon.

I would like to forward to the DF TeAm a message from "sean2002". He is on a short vacation and asked me to post this for him:

Can you make a post at Anadtech in the DC group just to let the DF team know that even though I have pulled my main system off Distributed Folding team that I still have a 1.7Ghz P4 and a 2.0Ghz P4 crunching DF, and let the Seti team that I have my main rig back up and crunching WU' @ 2:05

Thanks for the stats Moti! Enjoy your time off.

Insidious: Recruit!
Not for our friendly little top 10 contest, but so the TeAm can make a bid for a top 10 spot!
I think you can relax however. I am slowly shifting production around, and df won't be this heavy for long. But I will be back for you, so don't fall asleep!

Actually, I had the same thought, Insid, but I need to stick to my personal rules regarding DF, which go something like this. Try to run about 90% of my mhz for ~50aa structures and 10% for ~150aa structures, sort of a sliding scale. Since other projects have the same value every week, I try to get the most for my mhz by only doing df when it is most profitable. Bad for DF, but good for the TeAm, right?

Whos not looking?

My rules are sort of like Kris' rules. Right now I'm helping out DDOL while the production is low in DF. Me and Givemhell seem to be the only active members of the DDOL team which is in 18 place. I don't want to see that team slip positions but I fear it will.

Kris and Baldy18,

I think that is a great way to spread it around!

I started out trying to do that, but I am severely "MHz Challenged" so, I

chose to put it all in one place. I'm working on my buds to join me in the

hopes that I can spread more Sidness around too. Wish me luck
