Hello Folders,
Well, we're still not in number 9 yet. I'm guessing the moment FoBoT makes his next large dump we'll streak ahead. Remember, folks, tomorrow's the protein change so try to check up on your computers.
A message from Howard (DF HQ):
There are a lot of numbers for us to pore through in order to figure out exactly how we did (yes, it is not so straightforward as it sounds). We will post a complete 'report' as soon as we have gone through all the relevant numbers. While I can tell you we did not 'win', we appear to have done reasonably well considering our algorithm is still in its infancy compared to many of the other participants. Clearly brute force alone is not sufficient to predict protein structures but in combination with a 'smart' algorithm we believe it can far exceed what anyone else will be able to do without DC. As we continue to test new enhancements to our current basic algorithm and scoring functions, we expect to see great improvements in our ability to sample structures and pick out low energy ones. Anyhow, will provide more details once we've analyzed the results.

Milestone makers:
ATWE Terrahawk makes 9M and 10M folds!
ATWE LastKnight makes 10M folds!
Jagators makes 400K and 500K folds!
Congrats to the milestone makers!
FoBoT: I can see that you're getting ready for the change-over. 650K for the day still ain't bad, though. Looks like your RMS won't change before the switch.
Non-FoBoT:
Top Folder: Kris with 93.5M folds moves up a spot into 85th!
Best RMS: ATWE Insidious still in the lead as we move in the home stretch. If anybody's planning to make a move, now's the time. He's currently in 133rd overall!
Best Production: Unsurprisingly, it's ATWE Terrahawk again. 1.4M once more, this time puts him in 34th!
Producers Of the Day:
ATWE Terrahawk 1.4M
ATWE Insidious 860K
ATWE LastKnight 685K
FoBoT 650K
Kris 646K
ATWE ReaganCRW 518K
kmmatney 490K
Congrats to the POD's!
(Robor, you just missed out. another 22K and you'd be in).
TeAm Stuff:
Not much to say. We've got to get our production up, since most of our quarry is starting to slip from our grasp.
Daily Production: 9.5M today, which puts us back in 7th, which isn't too good at all. Only 75K from 6th though. No worries though, once the protein change goes through I'm sure we'll have 'em all eating our dust!!!
Oh, I just remembered! Please take a look at the TeAm Support Page and do just a bit more each day to help out the team! I think this is going for the Enterprise (the Seti Beowulf) but hey, they've already dropped quite a lot of $$$, time and effort on it, and I think a click-a-day isn't too much to ask.
Also, I've got some reasonable amount of work on dfQ (as I reported here). Hopefully, I'll have something out within 2 weeks.
