ATWE bfour 902K

Congrats to the POD's!

TeAm Stuff:

5th place is just 165M away. We produced 8.5M more folds than them today. If we can get another week like we did from FoBoT (95M folds! W:QW!) that'll be in a little more than a week. Great stuff, team!

Daily Production: 17.8M folds for the day (very respectable) puts us solidly into 5th! 2.2M ahead of 6th and 2.2M behind 4th.

Great folding, everyone!

Looks like Howard fixed up the ftp site, though soni has offered to host copies of the clients on his webpage (don't know where that is... yet). Hopefully, this'll give TeAm members a backup option when there are problems with updates or trying to bring new computers into the fold.
Edit: Ok, found the site (though he hasn't put up the clients yet), it's here.
Edit: Ahh, apparently bob970 has put up links! (Thanks). Windows Linux

Have a Happy Friday the 13th tomorrow!!!

Thanks m0ti!

Woo WOOOOOooo! 70 Big ones! (hey, these just got easier!)

Great job to all the MMs today and seven PODs! WTG TeAm DF

(For anyone not familiar with the Error.log bugaboo on this last update, there was a minor problem with the first release of the update which allowed the error.log to grow in size at a pretty good clip as the client folded. Howard then released an updated update (about six hours later), but did not flag it for auto-installation.
He reasoned, that the original client was folding just fine and some people would prefer to have a large error.log file than run around updating all their clients again. If the file gets bigger than you want on your HD, you can just delete it periodically and no other ill-effects will occur if you do not. (according to Howard)
If you do wish to eliminate the large error.log file, you simply need to upload your results, stop the client, remove it, download the latest client and install.

ATWE seems to be humming along without a hitch today. Robor continues his assertion (why yes, I am looking over my shoulder.. ) and TerraHawk is still looking pretty comfortable in #1.

Great Job and thanks to you ALL!

WTG Team! Finally had time to post! The new client is doing ok, but my XP's are still producing the same! I fixed 3 P4 clients they are now producing nicely, got 2 more to fix on Saturday, hopefully they will help more! Reagan, you are making me bust my butt, you're catching up to me wayyy too fast!

Thanks for the stats m0ti!

Looks like we're doing pretty well at the moment. I hope to be able to get another 6 Durons to work for me over this weekend (it's already halfway through Friday here), and maybe... possibly another Athlon or two. If anyone has any 128 MB buffered EDO DIMMs they wish to donate (hehe), I can put a pair of Pentium Pros at 233 MHz to work.

What kind of speedup do you get running under linux compared to Windows? I have a K6-III+ @ 550 MHz running in Win98 - it's pretty tight on memory though as it only has 160 MB (I've got another 128MB DIMM coming). It's not used for anything really useful, so I can wipe it and put on linux if it's that much faster. And I need to re-install Windows XP on my dual celeron some time, so I can linux that for a while too if need be.

Congratulations to the Producers of the Day and the Milestone Makers
Keep up the awesome production, and look forward to FoBoT's big dumps

I'll keep those 2 files up to date with new updates when they come out. I can do more if necessary.

I'm back from a 2 week trip to the UK, and its looks like most of my systems stayed up and running! I did lose about 3 GHz worth, but hopefully I'll get things back to full power soon.

A belated welcome to Jagators!

Well, on my P4 the difference was originally 5k/hour (win) vs. 6.5k/hour. Then I started discovering things like quiet mode, dfGUI, client priority and upped my CPU speed a bit and the difference became 7k/hour vs. 8k/hour. That was pre-update. I'm still trying to get some hard post-update numbers but the Linux client keeps going kaput (I'm presently downloading the latest client and will do a fresh install). I have hard numbers on my 350, but they're fairly difficult to make an accurate comparison with. In Windows (pre-update), it was good for about 25-26k/day, but that was an old, bogged down Windows install. Post-update on a fresh Mandrake install, its getting about 70k/day. That's about a nearly 3x increase, whereas this computer in Windows got a nearly even 2x increase with the update, so you could extrapolate that in Windows, the 350 would have done about 55k/day post update.
