DF: Where has everybody gone?

It seems like only about half of our members have fixed their clients since the problem with it taking forever to get past the first generation, including some of our dedicated long-time crunchers, including bunker (

It looks like the team is seriously starting to lose some steam and we have some teams hot on our tails that will pass us before long if we don't get our crunchers going again.

Well even with the bad download, have gotten my 3 crunchers at work going again, plus fixed 3 more at a remote site, plus will have 2 2.4's coming online Thursday! Have stuck with this project through all the ups and downs and should have alot more proteins coming! Even pout my 1Gig laptop to use with the new client to give us a bit of a boost! But according to the 2100 stats run, looks like the 14th of August we will be passed by OCworkbench, then the Genome Collective! Of course not to be left out is Reichkraft!

I'm crunching away, part-time, on a PIII 1.0-M laptop.

A few months away from moving half of my fleet over to this from SETI...I'll put the other half on F@H and see how things go.

I'm going full time on ECC2 right now, because Jay Berg needs that project to end soonest, and he is a super guy. It could be any day, but when ECC2 is solved, I'll probably jump back in and play in DF and/or SOB.

Looks like the software is fixed, have results coming in from the boxes I fixed lastnight, plus my 3 here at work, plus the 2 at home!

I'll be back sometime soon as well, though my crunching is going to stay down as it has for quite a while.

Lost my motherboard a few weeks back (something on it burned out.. not nice).

Been busy with various stuff.

I'll probably be starting up again on dfQ again soon (now that -purge uploads is out), and that should be out in a couple of weeks.

So hopefully things are looking up.

I'll be back in the fall .

It's just too damn hot upstairs in my office at home to run it 24/7. I could cool the systems down more, but I set them up as nearly silent and would like to keep it that way. I'm not allowed to run it at work any longer.
