1. i currently oen DFI mb, having numerous problems i wont even begin to list
2. probably going to return to newegg and pay the shipping and 15% restocking fee
3. i dont overclock i'm happy with my system speeds at stock i only wish they'd run at stock speeds
4. i have already reviewed all the other motherboards and i'm down to these 2. please try to stick to this topic and not try to suggest something like an epox or msi or something other than these two.
5. i AM kind of interested in the asus A8R32 mvp but i dont feel that it is worth the extra money.. is it? how are the bios's for that board? are they stable.
6. the rest of my system i will be using is in my signature
7. dont bring up a8n premium cuz i KNOW someone will lol. heatpipes dont work upsidedown

I have no probs with my dfi board but it seems too picky on mem, like i cant run it at ddr400 speeds, see if setting the 180 divider helps stability.

Stick w/ the DFI just make sure you have the proper cooling and possibly up the Dram voltage to 2.7v

edit: also check out DFI-STREET the msg board and see if they can help solve your problems

I have a counter opinion..try epox..Or the asus premium. Getting boards that have went through revisions and user documentation(on this forum).. atleast you know what works and what doesn't instead of going for the bleeding edge. Expensive doesn't equal reliable. From my understanding many have failed to pair certain OCZ brands with those DFI boards.

Refurbished boards often come with missing pieces like SLi connector, PCI brackets, missing fans, and most importantly they often do not have the IO shield. I have also heard reports that refurbished boards are like pot luck sometimes you get a bunch of bad ones with no recourse or chance for an RMA. Spend the extra $20-40 (less than the cost of a game) and get the full retail board with a 1-3 year warrenty and all the needed parts included.

Isn't your V1000 a BTX case? If so, then the Asus and Abit boards if they use heatpipe cooling for the chipsets, you're going to have problems since the board is installed upside-down.

Also, you didn't tell us what Bios version you are using with the DFI board, and what bios settings used. DFI boards are VERY bios setting oriented, and even different brands of the same hardware reacts differently with this board. Just to some research, as there are tonnes of info on the net on how to setup this board properly.
