DFI LP X38-T2R questions

Hey guys,

been waiting for quite some time to get my account for xtremesystems activated, thought I might ask the same questions here as well .

I'm in the process of putting a new system together. The mainboard Ive chosen (is already on the way) is the DFI LP x38-t2r. I'm planning to pair that with a Q9450. However, I am not sure if the stock BIOS on that mainboard supports the Q9450.. Will it be compatible, or do I have to update the BIOS in order to use q450? Meaning I'm gonna need another 775 processor to do that?

Some people were also complaining about the way the Thermalright Ultra Extreme 120 warps the mainboard. Any of you have that combo? Anything I'd need to keep in mind?

Pros: Sweet board started right up! The memory I used was Crucial Ballistix Model# BL2KIT25664AA804 total of 8GB and the intel E8400 I am also running vista 64bit and love every bit of it so far
Cons: Had to fix the timing on the intel booted up at 2.4.
Other Thoughts: Great board will buy DFI again!

So it recognized 8400 (45nm based).

I'm in processing of building a rig myself.

This is what I've observed so far with Intel P35 chipset users. Some will boot but CPU temperatures are way off, they flash the BIOS, and its corrected.

The worse case sceniro, borrow a buddy's socket 775 or buy cheapie 775 Celeron from FS/FT forums.
Then flash it.

I haven't read or seen anything about x38.

yeah guess I'll buy a celeron as well.. still missing the video card anyhow Once I get my q9450 up and running,
popping the IHS off the celeron might be fun
