DFI Mobo Question

Hey,

Im looking at specs for my new rig and have a question regarding the difference between two similar yet differently priced DFI boards.

Is the DFI NFII ULTRA-AL shown here the same board as the "LAN Party" Model NFII Ultra shown here except that the "AL" version does not come with the round IDE cables, carrying case and florescent lighting scheme? They seem like the same board except for that minor detail. There is a $70 difference in boards.

I think you are right ... the $70 is what's getting you all the accessories IMO.

The motherboards look identical in detail, expect for colors and missing parts. Also missing: RAID, Firewire, 1 LAN, diagnostic LEDs, onboard power switch, reset and speaker. Can't tell if it uses the NVIDIA audio; I don't think so.

However there is a newer revision of this mobo, which has SATA RAID instead of IDE RAID, relocated CMOS battery, and a CMOS feature so you can have different CMOS settings and select them at boot up. Of course, one reason I chose the old one when it was current was the parallel RAID.
