it wont be "top performing" in a couple of months, and as far as "available" I agree you should buy this defunct technology if you can't wait for two months. I know you'll say you could always wait for the next thing, but doing it smartly increases your value, like here the two month wait will mean at least one year more before the next upgrade.....

btw, they all can still be modded to sli by just scraping off some epoxy on the chipset and connecting a trace. Did mine this afternoon and now I have a full blown sli board. Sweet deal.

Surely.

Here's a pic of the chipset and the circled area is the epoxy that you'll need to gently and carefully scrape away with something such as an exacto knife:

My board came epoxy'd differently, and only had one of the two contacts covered, which made it a bit easier to gauge exactly how much I needed to scrape off. May be different for each individual board. Here's a great thread for the info:
