DFI NF4 won't boot

Here are my parts:

Opteron 165
DFI nF4 Ultra-D
1G OCZ ram
eVGA GeForce 6800GT 256MB
Antex 520W ps

This is all I have connected other than the keyboard, monitor, and mouse. When it boots, it hangs on the vga detect diagnostic light on the motherboard. Any ideas???

A little history:
I received all of these parts about a month ago. I had this problem, so I assumed it was the video card. I RMA'ed it, got a new video card, same problem. Took the entire unit to a local computer repair shop, they said my motherboard was bad. RMA'ed the motherboard, just got it back yesterday. When I started it up, all diagnositic lights went out which I thought was good, but then the monitor didn't start, so not good. I cleared the bios (which is what dfi said I should do before with my problem) and now it hangs on the vga detect light again.
I am seriously fed up with this problem because I have been dealing with RMAs and tech support now for more than a month. Does anyone have any ideas as to what may be wrong???

check the cpu for any bent pins
remove everything except the mobo, cpu and 1 stick of ram and see if it starts up both with and without the video card

have you tried the dfi forums here?

Did you plug in any of the USB or Firewire headers? If so, take them out. Try 1 stick of RAM at a time, also w/out video card. Good luck.

How can I check it with the video card out, what am I supposed to be looking for?
Also, from the power fittings reply, would I use a floppy power connection for connection 1? I hadn't noticed that before, I will be pi$$ed if that is it, well not really if it fixes everthing.
Thanks for all your help. I will let you know if it fixes it.

Yeah, so that none of that fixed the problem. Any other advice?
Although I didn't check without the video card yet because I don't know what I would be looking for. Some explaination there would be appreciated also.
Thanks.

I have same mobo, envy your cpu.

A) Try booting up while continuously holding the "insert" key down.
I'm not certain what this does, but ex-roadie on dfi-street board had me do this when I had similar trouble & it solved problem.

B) If not successful, try the clear cmos tango again:
1) power off, 2) remove power cable, 3) press power-on button a couple times to help discharge capacitor charge, 4) pop out cmos button battery, 5) move cmos jumper to "clear" 6) let it sit a lot lot longer time than everyone says. People may tell you 10 minutes, I say overnight,
7) next day put cmos jumper back to "normal" position, 8) put button battery back in, boot up while continuously holding down both the "insert" key AND the "delete" key, 8) that should get you into bios, where you should then load optimized defaults, then press F10 to save optimized defaults. Now you're on your way.

C) If still not successful, take issue to www.dfi-street.com.

Once you get that mobo running, it's sooo sweet!

Wow all, thanks for all your replies. It is SWEET now that I have it running. I am not sure about the clear bios problem I was having, but as you mentioned Scott, holding down keys, hitting the start button while clearing, all must have had some affect.
Here is a really weird thing though. I had it working when it was just sitting here on a work table next to my other computer through a kvm switch. When I moved it over to the other location where my other computer was, it stopped working. I was like, wtf is going on? At any rate, it turns out that it wouldn't post through my kvm on that side of my kvm. Not really sure why, but it has taken me a month to figure this stuff out and I am just so satisfied now that my task manager shows two cpus.
Again, thanks you guys.
BTW if any one has a problem like this, ensure you go to the dfi link that elbosco entered and make sure you follow the clear cmos script entirely.
