Ok, its come to my attension that there is a problem with some peoples PSUs and the DFI Nforce4 motherboards. Here is the problem: The 12v 4-pin connector has a capacitor right next it. Some PSUs have thicker wires than normal, like the X-connect or the OCZ power stream.......now what happens is because the grips on these wires are thicker than norm, the capacitor is being bent that is next to the 12v 4-pin connector. That in turn results in instability, because what it does is it gives the cpu its voltage. I have already helped 4 people with this problem and most had NO idea that this was there problem. I have the X-connect psu and what i did was i shaved down the rubber grip on the 12V 4-pin power cord so that it matched the size of the connector, then i bent my capacitor back into place and ive been fine ever since. Some people have this board, and this problem and dont know it, and blame there memory or cpu or even the board itself. If you have a PSU with modded wires and are having stability problems with a DFI Nforce4 board, or cant even get it to post(was my problem), take a look to see if the resistor next to the 4-pin 12v connector is bent becuase of the size of the wire gripe and if its bent even alittle bit, you most likely have your problem. Good luck.
