My brother is upgrading his video card, and I have a an crossfire master x1900, and he is upgrading from his x1900 (non master). I am debating which of the 2 boards to go with. I've owned abit before, they are solid boards but they have always been flaky after about a year with OC'ing. From what I have heard DFI is a solid brand, but again from what I've heard, they have a lot of issues and are hard to get working, but once you do, they are amazing. The price of the 2 boards is not an issue, but I am interested in hearing some personal opinions and any other comments on the boards.

Edit: spelling

I don't think the RD600 is worth it. I'm pretty sure that's the only board on that chipset. Just look at the [ H ] review..

especially the "bottom line" at the bottom of the page.

I'd take the Abit (975X) over the RD600. If you're using crossfire on the Abit though, I'm pretty sure it'll block the PCI slot so double check that.

Why not check out the Intel BX2 or the Asus P5W-DH? They're highly recommended 975X boards...I have the Intel.

I have owned 2 ICFX3200..both have been RMAed back to newegg
first was a nice board but I tweaked a ram setting and got an unrecoverable C1E error...2nd board ran 5-7C hotter on the NB , could not run ram as fast as first board and all of sudden was no longer stable 2 days after doing 26 hrs of P95 blend stable overclock

board is overpriced and of questionable quality IMHO..when it works as my first board it was nice....but the second board was a huge PITA

I now have a Badaxe2...less bios options but so far stable

Well, there is a new contender which I am going to give a shot, the DFI Infinity p965. Soon as it comes back in stock @ egg, I will be buying it, thanks for the replies.

I don't know if it matters in performance, but aren't P965 board x16x4 in crossfire and 975X x8x8?
