Dfi Sli-Dr????

To my surprise last night, i was reading various forums regarding the eta date of the Dfi Sl-Dr mobo and supposedly the press release date of early feb, changed either feb 16th or march 1st.

Does anyone know where i can get this mobo at an earlier date than march 1st??
Right now i "purchased" one from axiontech.com but they are giving me too much beef.

I'm sure this info would help alot of people out that are searching wildly for this board and spending $100 msrp over for no reason.

I have the same problem man... DFI SLI-DR's are nowhere to be found... and frankly, DFI should be ashamed. They way way underestimated the demand for their product, with online retailers selling out within hours at the most as soon as the boards hit the market. And now, the need a month to play catch up? Shameful DFI. I'm this close to going MSI Neo4.

No one really knows when the new shipments of SLI-DR's are coming in... DFI is staying tight lipped about it and won't confirm anything (thanks guys, really helpful...'ppreciate that).

I'd say if you can wait another 2 weeks, wait. And send DFI a nasty email. If it turns out to be mid-march before we see any more boards, fvck em.

I've been running mine for about a week now, NewEgg had them a few weeks back and sold out in about one hour.

Basically, it was released a while back, shipment was in low amounts, with all the hoopla over the board, nobody was able to keep it is stock for more then a few hours.

DFI is having trouble keeping up with US demand and most sites show March 1st as they dont want to work anyone up without any real stock to sell.

From what I've heard, they could be back in stock tomorrow, or a month from now. It's all dependant on how many they can make quick enough to fill all the orders.

Take a look at the MSI board, it appears to be just as good for high FSB overclocks. The only problem is lack of voltage selections in the current BIOS. Rumors are a future release is going to open up a much wider selection of choices.

Can't go wrong with either board... dont overlook the Gigabyte either, a guy at xtreme just took a 3000+ winchester to 3.4ghz with one, as far as we know, a new record.

no offense but that "bluetooth/wlan" card that doesnt exist turned me off

anyways back to the matter at hand....

this thread needs to stay at the top 5 for the next two weeks, any dates would not only be helpful for me but for a lot of people who have exactly $231.55 on their credit card remaining.

Mittoni (an Australian outfit) has the SLI-DR in stock for 395.00AUD including the tax. That's about $310 US, plus shipping, but it's there for the taking. Note that they DO ship to the United States.

I mean it is the 21st century last time I checked. They can stamp out 200,000 chevy suburbans in no time, but they cant keep enough motherboards on the market? I think its a price fixing scam. I smell some dishonesty in the industry. You just wait and see. Someone will pop em.

Had to stop by MicroCenter again today, the DFI-SLI Dr was still there. They also had the MSI SLI and Gigabyte SLI.
