dfi-ultra d wont turn on!!

Ok so I got my winchester and motherborad and video card today, I put the cpu in, then one stick of PQI 3200 512mb in slot 2 (orange) and then I put the msi 6600gt in there. Plug my 20pin psu connector in, then I plug the 12v 4 pin connector in to where it is supposed to go, then I plug the 4 pin molex in next to the video card. I pressed the built in power switch and nothing, no fans spin, nothin. So then I try my case's button nothing again. I tried putting the ram slot in 4 but that didnt help any either.
Is my mobo dead??? Perhaps PSU issue? Its not a bad psu, its a bit old now but its an enermax 350 whisper. It ran my 2600 xp@3200 speeds with a 6600gt card. Should at least give enough power to new computer to boot I would imagine.

Forgot to mention the CPU is used but im pretty sure it isnt that, I bought it from a person on the forums here.

You definately NEED a 24-pin PSU for this mobo.

Ive seen people say it can run without a 24 pin. They highly reccomend a 4 pin but I wanted to see if any instability is present because of the 20 pin, Im only running a 6600gt after all.... no sli or anything

you can run it with a 20 pin PS, I did. Sounds like a dead mobo. Try and get yoru hands on another PS to be sure.

Well I know this PSU works as im using it right now on my old computer, but I will grab the 300w antec I have and try it out. Sad times, wanted to see my new computer run.

oddly enough I changed psu's over to my antec 300w smartpower and it works fine, some minor ram issues but thats normal. Thanks!

I'm not familiar with a DFI mobo. Is it a SLI type board ? If it is ... they are power hogs. Articles recently in CPU (Apr05) MaximumPC etc. In all the tests i've read they need a 510W PSU or more. 3 tests the PSU's were 600W. I suppose you could get away with less; with no fans and only 1 optical drive; etc. , but add multiple hard drives and another Optical drive; case fans and you won't boot or maybe not post. I guess some of it is related to PCI Express video cards needing additional boost as well.

Read DFI's requirements...

Native 24pin psu, plug in all 4 mobo connectors.(24pin, 4pin cpu, 4 pin molex & 4 pin floppy)

There is a sticker on the 24pin mobo plug listing the wattage, add 20% to that for your other components.
